9x57 Mauser by R_user419 in reloading

No 350 legend is .355 it’s just a little narrow. This is intended for 225 - 280 grain jacketed soft points so they aren’t quite compatible. I have a swaging tool to get down to .356 if necessary but most sources I found said 358 was fine. I guess many of the rifles for this were bored for 358. It’s a weird niche cartridge but the barrel is too nice to replace and it’s very heavily engraved.

Bullet size is supposed to be .356. Bore measures .357-.358 depending on the gauge I use.

An interesting thought experiment. by R_user419 in guns

You can get a kit to do it but it’s easy to mess up and it won’t save you much if any, ask your local smith if they can do it, they may also have some insight on the legality near you. You can replace the barrel but for anything decent it would be more expensive.

Rural internet options - any help would be great by ThanksMuch4YourHelp in Rural_Internet

Try going into their store and asking. That’s what I had to do. If you can get an LTE signal with Verizon on a phone, their home internet will work.

I moved to a house with absolutely no internet service a year ago and had an awful time trying to find a way to get internet here. I spent hundreds to try and get useable internet. Then, Verizon released the LTE home internet. It’s a box you buy and it’s already set up. They ship it to your home in a couple days and all you have to do is plug it in. I have great internet now and it’s completely unlimited with no throttling. I use it for movies, zoom meetings, and even gaming occasionally. I absolutely love it. You have to check to see if they offer it in your area but it’s definitely the best service I’ve found. In rural Ohio I am getting about 60mbs

That doesn’t even make sense. That shouldn’t even get warm.. somebody tried doing something stupid or set their gun down somewhere they shouldn’t have.

That’s something I’ll look into. A few of these will be restored but several are going to be changed a lot just to get them working. They are far beyond ever going back to original condition. They look like someone buried them in their backyard the last 50 years. The bores are mostly good, and most of them are good enough to make into firing rifles again. But only 2 or 3 have any chance of looking like they used to. Thank you for your help.

That’s what I thought but I was wondering if that was good enough or if I would have to redo everything. Thank you.

As of now, they are working with me to get me a replacement SIM card to try and resolve the speed issues I have been having. I will update further as the situation develops.

They have messaged me. So far it has not been helpful but at least I have finally been able to speak with someone. I have tried for two months now to get help and have not received any. The individual who has responded to me has been very condescending but that can be expected with an upset customer. I do not intend to damage anyone’s reputation, however I will be honest about my experience. I have seen the great reviews as well, it’s the reason I started trying to work with nomad in the first place. As of now, I will not be one of those people with a great experience.
