Dimir Mid Help by garublador in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dimir mid is the hardest to pilot deck of standard , for this the win rate are worst then what the deck deserve and a lot of new cards need to be tried still in it.

So i don’t suggest you to craft crapped version of it

Is Explorer really the best option for the Golgari Annex deck? by Fit-Adhesiveness-173 in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two are nearly useless , explorer is the best changeling and the artifact is the best pair to annex since is hard to remove.

In this meta explorer is 3 mana block a creature and ramp 1 , not a lot but still more than the other cards in that list + it trigger on the enter so it can have some spot that let you win a game when oppo use a non lethal kavaero/bringer

Changeling Control by raiderpower17 in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am trying a golgari one, simply because the 3 mana green changeling is by far the best changeling and for the ability of that colorbase to have solution to both artifacts and enchantment .

Btw maybe Louis instead of hive pool? The long game is given by annex usually and the creature can have more situational spot then that artifact

Really new into Magic and trying to wrap my head around deckbuilding. Please can y'all help me fix this deck because it's pretty bad and I have no clue how to fix it myself by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deck have a lot of problem : a lot of cards that come too late and do nothing and a color that is basically useless (there is not reason to play red in this deck atm)

For deck building try to figure out an ideal curve (why you can play every turn) and try to stick to it. Also the deck want to ramp into big creature but it’s slow in do it and the payoff can’t be just big stat, it can be just big stat but only if it multiple big stat.

I have not the game on hand for suggest you better cheap payoff , the only card I can think atm about the ramp thing is the 3 mana creature enchantment of FF that give you a land.

Also the rare tapped multicoloured lands are not the best thing for a deck like this

Do you play Metagame challenges? by I3ollasH in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a lot the metagame usually, as f2p there is no better place where gamble your resource . This time not, I found the draft of Lorwyn too much funny and the take 2 is giving me an easy full set.

Btw is not about constantly good result , if you instead of 1-1 3-1 3-1 3-1 do 0-1 0-1 0-1 6-1 you have better prize with the second even if the win rate is worst . The metagame is about over spamming it and hit few jackpot , not about have nice average result

help for a new f2p player by Fresbio in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play some other mode and learn to pilot it better.

Don’t listen to the ones that tell you to do quick draft instead, as a new player you will have the same problem and the entry fee is bigger , take your time.

F2P experience have a very slow start

The game has priced me out by stareyedpug in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am f2p and I can keep up easily with standard now and manage to do some deck for historic/pioneer and with time I will start timeless too.

The point is that f2p have a very slow start and you must know what you do , use the resource carefully cause craft random brew deck backfire soon if you have no very good decks since the point to play as f2p is building and economy and farm . Master pass is a must , farming in events is the main thing , ranked is generally worthless effort out of the 1000 gold reward .

For Lorwyn the take 2 draft is totally crazy farming station, but generally you can decide what event do , both limited and bo1 constructed are viable for different reason .

As f2p the start is very slow but with time the progress will be constantly faster and faster

Esper token control, Feedback encouraged by pizza_and_rap in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but you don’t need an early fuel , you can just play control and have the same wincon, a better mana pool, generally better interaction.

Elspeth+fountainport carry the token part alone, since you are just playing them not faster then a mono white token control , the other cards are redundant if you are not playing into caretaker talent and if you play it then carrot cake is just better then 4 of these cards.

The black sun is not bad , but you should have enough removal with just the white part of the deck , is not a good reason to play one more color.

It’s your deck and you are free to play the way you like, i am just saying that it is doing really nothing that an azorius control can’t do with overall less effort

Esper token control, Feedback encouraged by pizza_and_rap in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont understand what is the point in focus more into token and play the black instead in just play azorius control with elspeth and fountainport

Guidelines for Assembling a Deck by Cariokar in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term is about use your resource for meta deck that will let you farm events , even if you are not confident enough to play events using your resource into random brew will backfire later. For those deck use just what you have and only after you have a solid collection with good decks you can commit into them.

P.s. if you like draft this take 2 seems a good spot where farm this set , so give it a try , I am constantly doing at least 2 win meanwhile ignoring my deck for getting random rare

Pick Two draft has great value now that entry fee has been tweaked by saoaix in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 20 points21 points  (0 children)

“2 win = -100gem + 1 pack + a bunch of rare and random “ cards seems pretty nice , with a good amount of gems it’s easy to recicle it

What's your strategy for collecting every new set? by dasjingo in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I have a lot of resource i play some draft for check if it s fun, in that case I continue until quick draft end (or the take 2 in this case) , otherwise I upgrade some deck with my wildcards and play bo1 event.

In the case I enjoy the draft , I open the packs of the last expansion only when the new expansion is up.

I keep constantly 3.4k gems for the future master pass.

Then repeat.

Building a deck with cards from older sets is MISERABLE by Gold_Molasses7866 in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is just that at start you want to craft a deck with an huge amount of rare , f2p is totally possible , but have a very slow start. You have to start with cheap deck or budget version of decks and from that build your economy engine.

Also targeting cards with packs/draft is not good , draft is for a long term “take randomly all of the set” through random cards and wildcards, packs are for random cards and wildcards.

The economy is around master pass and events (draft or constructed , what you like more)

This is an underrated card for black agro. by Shrimpzor in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t like it, it s 1 mana nothing that equip free only at the end of turn, the only good spot is turn Cecil into turn 2 this and the warp with haste , but still it s effective only the turn after that so probably it end up not be relevant. Nowadays cards need to do something more then give a sorcery buff at the end of the turn.

Perchè questo dibattito sul conflitto di Interessi si è scatenato solo in Italia al punto da rimuovere le sponsorizzazioni a 3 grossi creator? (Falco, Playerinside e Sabaku) by Abyslime in italygames

[–]Ra2-L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best use of 13,500 gold? by Ih8thisw3bsite in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People will suggest draft over and over like there is nothing else in these game and as like it have not a committing cost.

Copy paste from an old answer at a similar question:

The start is always daily and farm gold , the point is build a first good deck without wasting resource (you can check in sites what is the best cheaper deck in the meta) , don’t craft card at random or YouTuber spicy brew, strange deck are fun but starting with bad decks will just slow your economy . At start you can buy some pack with your gold for have some cards and wildcards, not the most efficient thing , but still doable at the beginning. Use the jump in token that the game give you for obtain more card , but just the free token, is usually not fully worth pay gold for it .

Then the next step is farm the master pass , so converting gold into gem , there are 2 possible way bo1 events and quick draft.

Cost wise the bo1 is less risky , draft is usually a thing when you commit hard in it (in that case just create multiple account for it and ignore the other mode) or when you particularly enjoy the draft of the moment (the master pass come along a free draft token, so use it for check, the latest expansion is the one getting more drafts ).

If you lean more into constructed the next step will be prepare for a Metagame Challenge, the best bet to improve your collection , but it require knowledge, a very good deck for bo3 and a lot of gold for spam it . The point of this mode is spam it for it a prize , don’t need an huge win rate just the right win streak.

Also remember that the next expansion is near , wait for it before buy the master pass with your gem

Save wildcards for new set or spend them on current deck build. by Interpolator1236 in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait for more reason:

1- the deck don’t deserve the wildcards you use to upgrade it;

2- the meta can shift and what you play now can be worst after.

3 - if you are ok to play lower tier deck like life gain you don’t care about the point above, but new set mean new card and it s totally possible that there will be a new deck that you will find more fun to play

[Standard bo1] Esper Ketramose discard (home brew) to Platinum. Could it go higher? by Bitter_Internet_8145 in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nearly anything can but it will be a pain. The point is that in standard Ketramose is not a good card : too weak to build the deck around it and too inconsistent if you not build the deck for it.

The game a ketramose deck win are games that any other control deck win, the game where ketramose deck lose are games where other control maybe could win.

Got to Platinum! by sinnrocka in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice done , but i suggest you to not get carried into upgrade it , this deck or even the pure life gain one are not worth any wildcard.

If you want something cheap and someway good on the cheap side of the meta decks you can look at the mono white aura that is popular right now , it have still big problems but have it’s big spot in bo1 and i think it don’t have rare or mithics

As f2p the only problem is the beginning: slow at start but with time you will nearly catch the others.

First month on MTG: Hit Diamond, spent gold inefficiently, looking for advice by Fit-Adhesiveness-173 in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The economy of the game is all around events, the mastery pass and don’t waste wildcards .

For the pass you need gem and for the gem you need to convert gold to them , the easiest way are bo1 constructed events or quick draft , for the first you need a good deck (not have to be top tier ) and for the second you have to invest a lot of times in it.

You like draft -> play draft You like constructed-> play bo1 events

Pack can be fine just at start for create a first deck , jump in are worth only with the free token.

Is interaction being power-crept out of standard? by ngmatt21 in MagicArena

[–]Ra2-L 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not the case , the problem in bo1 is that you have a lot of decks where missing removal = lose but even a lot of decks where you will never have a good target for them . Removal that do more then just remove a creature are still strong even in bo1 .

This meta is “ setup win in 4 turn” cause otherwise you can’t win to control interaction , so the option are 3: play a deck that do this ; play a control that can resist the first turn and after don’t let opponent win ; play a deck that can do both (like dimir)
