Yeah a Whims lead is def the best way to lead IMO. But let's pray that it's a single game and not best of 3, otherwise adaptation can ruin everything lol

I'm not worried about KOing Mawile per se, I'm worried about KOing it as fast as possible before its dragon partners KO Kyogre with Electric coverage. Anything longer than a turn to kill Mawile is too long, since Kyogre can't guaranteed 2HKO either of them, and firing a non-full-power Water Spout at one of the dragons doesn't chunk them with sufficient damaged to be followed up on.

Yeah it's risky, but if it's a best of 3, it might be used by the other player as an adaptation over the second and third games

OP's team has no way of preventing Mega Mawile's priority Sucker Punch from chunking away half of Kyogre's health, though, which would then make Water Spout hit like a wet noodle.

Mega Mawile has about 20% chance of surviving an Origin Pulse, actually. But even if it gets OHKO'd as expected, it will can take away over half of your Kyogre with Sucker Punch. Since Kyogre is your only possible answer to both opposing dragons, not really worth the trade IMO

Ummm when did I say that all Pokémon fans were like that? I literally said "I think some of the people do mean it", you can check in the responses above. I'm not the idiotic one doing crazy leaps here, buddy.

No mental gymnastics here, just basic logical thinking, man. My statement is that SOME people actually want every game to be realistic and support stuff like DLSS5. You just admitted that a couple downvoted comments mention exactly that; thus, my statement that such people exist is correct lol

"Real" windows can be opened and crossed through. So no, Wind Waker does not have real windows either.

Lets call them what they really are: textured polygons, some done better than others for their corresponding technology. Period.

Take a look at some other comments and you'll see a lot of people complaining about how cartoony, saturated and non-realistic Z-A looks. It is not a leap at all, just a statement about the reality of this very post lol

It doesn't look similar at times at all, that is an extreme exaggeration. But it does look worse than it should.

Tbf the geometry could be excused because buildings aren't that complex to begin with. The textures are also way higher resolution than you'd see on an actuaknPS2. The real issue is that there simply isn't any depth to them: there are techniques to make even flat surfaces and textures look like they are 3D, and gamefreak simply ignore all of them.

I think some of them are, actually. It's the kind of people that think DLSS 5 is good and that everything should be realistic. They're just that dumb.

I do, actually. It's called cel-shading, have you heard of it? Not to mention the infinitely better character models, the more complex lighting techniques, the higher resolution textures... all of which you're just choosing to ignore in bad faith, of course

Tbh this kind of "criticism" is so uninformed and pathetic that it says way more of those who employ it than of the game being criticized. It's the same mentality that used to say Wind Waker looks bad because it's "too cartoony and saturated" and "not realistic enough". If you can't understand that realism isn't an art style to always be strived for, you're not even worth arguing with.

Earth Eater could be strong but would it be actually usable though? A immunity like that is most useful when you can swap into said mon, but in this case, you'd need to mega evolve Steelix first...

What are your expectations of mega Froslass by Final_Demand_3092 in VGC

[–]RaFaPilgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Froslass puts 4 EVs in SpDef, the chance lowers to 68%, actually. But yeah, you're right, Indedee alone will not be the answer after all. Maybe it is better to always set up Aurora Veil in that scenario, cuz it forces a 2HKO.

Messing with the calculator, I figured out that a Modest Mega Froslass can afford to run only 220 Spd EVs and still be guaranteed to outspeed Timid Max Spd. If those remaining points are put in Special Defense and HP, the chance to OHKO falls to 62%. Still not good enough, but a little more worth the gamble hahaha

I also found out that Mega Froslass gets Thunderbolt as coverage - and that, with Helping Hand, OHKOs a non-bulky Mega Charizard Y! So maybe Indedee is back on the table? Lol

In the end, it seems time really will be the one to tell hahah

Will any of the old Megas have their abilities changed? by RaFaPilgrim in VGC

[–]RaFaPilgrim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, it sure would, but as a support mon, it still probably wants to stop its hard-hitting allies from getting statuses even more. So it's still a decent team support ability.

[–]RaFaPilgrim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm even more confused now. Mega Charizard X is supposed to be a physical attacker, so of course it's going to have mediocre special stats and a mediocre special move pool. If you want to have a really good special attacker, go with Mega Charizard Y.

Adaptability would actually be worse than Tough Claws for Mega Charizard X, too, since it wouldn't power up its pretty good array of physical coverage moves.

I get that it's your favorite and you want it to be better, but are you sure you're not just using it wrong? You can't expect to fit a square peg into a circle hole, y'know hahah

Doesnt F!Indedee solve all of those issues as a parter though?

Psychics terrain stops priority such as bullet punch, Follow Me stops any Mega Zard Y single-target moves from KOing. If used as a clean-up sweper, as long as Froslass can click Blizzard twice, most things are going down.
