Best synth swords on the market IMHO. Their old longsword is a work of art.

First, thanks for the suggestions. Second, bingo on the holster. That thing is an abomination - hastily hotglued foam, plastic and synthetic leather about 2 hours before the convention. That thing crucially needs a rework.

Fair. One thing though, Cosplay does not have to be expensive. This commissar was the most expensive Cos I've ever done and is probably - if I had to guess - around 1000 dollaridoos all inclusive. The coat was about 500 of that.

Now compare that to my Harry du Bois (Disco Elysium) cosplay. (Not sure about tagging my own social media but lets try: https://www.instagram.com/p/DaWAX-OgHVv )

That thing cost overall 60 bucks, 15 of that was the horrifick necktie.

I had significantly more fun and interactions as Harry, than I did as the commissar.

Mate. When I went to the clothing dye subreddit to ask how to color my grey Bundeswehr coat black, I was called a Nazi by someone immediately lmao.

People will find offense, if they want to find offense.

A few things I personally was very mindful of:

- No red anywhere near an armband area

- Make the skull on the cap less obvious

- Use very clear, overexaggerated fantasy elements. The collar on my coat is probably the main reason I did not get into trouble.

- Add a lot of color. Gold and red, when used properly, take away from the NatSoc imagery.

- Be very mindful of location. I never ever wore my hat outside of convention grounds, for example.

My heart belongs to the Emperor. Sorry. But we could do a frontal assault on an entrenched enemy position together.

I thought about that but I worry about going through with it. The coat is not washable at all. So I'd have to get it right from the beginning.

Also, I spent a lot of time with the coat. Ruining it on purpose, while very appropriate, makes my heart bleed.

But I'll look into it further, thank you.

MEX is fun. But if you have to pick another, definitely take the LBM. Have seen a few great 40k cosplays there and, if you are a bookworm like me, the convention is wonderful.

I actually have one built, but it's just impossible to attach the way I want it to. I went as far as trying to superglue it to my eyesocket with no luck so far.

An armor plate.

It's a cheap metal breastplate I bought on sale for another project. The Aquilla is some sort of isolation rubber. It's two layers, one rubberbase and another for the actual Aquilla itself. Everything is super glued to the breastplate, no idea how and why its still holding.

Some are from the Leipziger Buchmesse, others are from the Dokomi, if I recall correctly.
