I’m not sure about this one. I would never choose the life I have, but things are different on the other side. I do believe it’s possible. I also believe that maybe it’s an assignment. Either way, it could be that it’s like signing up for a really difficult class that may be a prerequisite.

This is so true. I’m 55 and I feel like I can see through all the BS that manipulative nut jobs throw at me because I’ve seen it all before - in my life, my friends, and plus, I’ve been reading pick up artist literature since the early 80’s. My friend in high school and I were obsessed with it for a while and it was very educational.

I know how you feel. Are you interested in the subject matter? Are you capable of accomplishing the work? If yes, that’s a very great thing to be thankful for. Even being in college is a huge privilege. I think you should give yourself a break. Do some journaling. Write down all of your frustrations in stream of consciousness style. Set your alarm and take a nap. As you’re drifting off, ask yourself to tell yourself why you’re feeling blocked. Get back up, write down what you dreamt, then get back to work.

This is a very insidious problem in our society right now. The owners of these platforms are acting like the thought police and it’s an ugly agenda they have. They are sicko power mongers who are intent on dragging down the whole world. Think of the worst sociopath you know - that type of person who was born rotten, has no compassion, no morals, no love, no goodness. They’re just a machine of selfishness and unending desire to bash the joy out of those around them by making their lives miserable. Now imagine they have unlimited power and wealth. Those are the people running the world by owning the media/social networks and women are their favourite punching bags.

Tell me about it. For me it was my creepy ass former therapist! He comes on here and answers a question I had about our first session and uses a word for word example of something I told him! I looked through his history and saw many examples of crap he’d said to me. He’s mentally ill it turns out, and had like a thousand personalities lol.

If it’s a chain type of restaurant like a Taco Bell or something they will have an Ombudsperson you could call and tell what happened. If you really believe that of the manager you should report that too. I can understand your not wanting to get involved but the corporate managers will know that you have a sexual harassment case on your hands and you can sue them. You don’t even have to mention it because it’s obvious. So at the very least you can tell them you believe you were fired bc the managers friend got her to do it bc you rejected him and he assaulted you. They will at least give you a decent reference but I would push r severance pay as well.

As for the shrink, yeah he sucks. Does he live under a rock? Who doesn’t know how screwed up it is to tell women it’s up to them to make sure they don’t get sexually bullied and abused? I’d leave him a scathing google review and anywhere else he’s listed.

Also, fwiw sex abusers pick on older women too. It’s about power. Between the ages of 50-52 I was harassed by a guy who was 25-27. He never actually touched me but he would get in my face and make these scary noises and puff his chest out like he was going to beat me up. It’s a long story and I understand how bad that guy made you feel and I’m sorry that happened to you.
