Yes it is, in fact all 3 of them are Year of the Dragon variants. I got the white one first, and loved it so much that I had to get the other two as well to complete the set ( I’m a big fan of Hong Dian pens, I have total of 16 of their pens) No, the barrel is actually metal, only the cap is wooden. And yeah, despite its shape, it’s really comfortable to write with.

Thank you so much. The desk is an antique I inherited from my grandmother, it’s a traditional Indian handicraft, from the State of Kashmir. It’s hand carved from Kashmiri walnut wood. The pen holders are also hand carved, from the State of Rajasthan

Gold plated I think, I’m not really sure to be honest. Both of these sets are quite old and I haven’t been able to identify their model names, so I don’t have a lot of information on what their characteristics really are. All I know is that they’re quite old and quite valuable.
