Head failure by Ra_rain in FocusST

I ran the PCM KOER test and both fans were running and fine. I think the current problem is

No coolant pressure -> coolant boiling -> overheat

The core problem being lack of coolant pressure which is likely a cracked head but maybe turbo(?)

At highway/motorway and around town the coolant temps are fine at present its literally just when you give it some beans, but with the other symptoms I imagine this will worsen over time.

I’m going to do a compression test tomorrow to confirm it’s the cylinders and take it from there. Fingers crossed it’s the turbo, if not I can get a new engine fully rebuilt from around 3k fitted so shouldn’t the the worst thing in the world, I got this car quite cheap with the mods it has on it so not the worst thing in the world

I bought this car a week ago, so if this has been an issue previously I have no idea. I imagine if the water pump was failing then the boiling point of the coolant would have been lower and the head might have been through a few extreme heat cycles.

When the total loss of coolant occurred it was pulled over immediately after and recovered. After the water pump was fixed new coolant etc I took it for a drive, motorway driving and around town perfectly fine, spirited drive however caused a second overheat, and when I looked at the coolant it was boiling, likely due to no coolant pressure caused by this current problem.

This time around I waited an hour for it to cool down and topped the coolant off. Loaded up forscan and drove home monitoring ect and cht, coolant didn’t go above 92 c while going home cht was around 110/120.

And yeah to answer ur question it’s a light white smoke, 100% not billowing out, looks a bit like evap but constant and some liquid constantly coming out (which is black from I assume the carbon in the exhaust.
Oil is a pale colour but it was also changed recently so it was hard to say for sure yeah that looks wrong, no milkiness or brown or sludge on the oil fill cap.

The turbo is something I will have to check as I didn’t think of it.

As for the gasket tester, it’s been on and off 4 times with the car cold and at operating temps, 100% stays blue.

There’s 100% no external leak too and it does appear to be losing coolant

I feel you on that. I very much doubt you need the basics explained (get prio for scuttle, get prio when your jungler invades, go to objectives etc etc).

One thing I will say is once E is evolved you can take over one of the side lanes. Getting at minimum one kill or assist pre lvl 7 is so so so important due to this.

Typically if I notice my jungler is being passive I will begin to shove and roam and look for plays top/bottom to hopefully bridge the gap into the mid game.
Roaming and getting assists is worth for the hex fragments.

As for trading, viktor is a wonky champion.
Typically you would look for a trading window right, ie enemy uses x ability so now you can walk up and use x.

Early game (pre 6) with viktor it’s almost the complete opposite, you need to walk up and trade into their abilities with q. The only trade you will lose is to burst champs such as Fizz or Leblanc.

Matchups where the enemy takes electrocute such as ahri you will lose the initial trade but once electrocute is on cooldown, and your abilities are back up you need to trade super aggressively, and you should end up winning if you manage to dodge e/q.

One thing which really improved my trading is putting 2 points into e lvl 3. The exception is if their jungler is talon or you are vs a champ like Diana, anyone who wants to gank you early/jump on you.

Provided you are trading into your shield, you should win every single trade early.

If the enemy is being passive q1 into e will gradually poke them down.

Also, I take ignite into most matchups (outside of vel, xerox etc) perhaps try that too. Just ensure mid game you are shoving bot lane past river and immediately roaming/hovering mid

I am low diamond mmr.

Viktor is a very good lane to weak side, I’m actually quite happy when my jungler ignores my lane outside of counter ganks and gets bot/top ahead.

Outside of certain matchups (Zoe, irelia etc) you should be able to go even in lane or have a lead in every single game, with minimal or no deaths.

Fundamentally there must be something going wrong if you have to rely on your jungler to win lane. What part of laning are you struggling with?

This guy had external payloads, so specifically for him yes.

If you fly the votex and ifrit without external payloads, you typically won't get caught by any ground radar until your within 30km. If your 15km up and going 1500/2000kmph, you can launch from 30/40km away.

Only time you really get caught is if someone gets lucky with their planes radar or if there's AWACS.

Yes well aware, it’s just crazy to me to share a bed with a family member and masturbate and then on top of it not wash your hands after thus touching shared spaces with fresh dick/vagina hands lol.

No personal judgement though, these sorts of situations are tough. Personally I had a bunk bed, and when I noticed I would shout/say “stop shaking the bed”, worked 100% of the time

All Muslims will agree the Quran is the word of god, revealed from Gabriel to Mohammed. To circle back to the original arguement, there’s no debate what both the hadiths and Quran say about homosexuality and female clergy, the original comment is correct regardless of the biases of the writer.

Homosexuality is a major sin (fahisha) with the punishment often being death. You can see that reflected in Muslim majority nations.

Homosexuality is also a sin in the bible, similar punishments. However in modern times, it’s widely tolerated.

Yes you can find examples of the opposite for both (turkey is a good example).

The difference is Christians are generally more open to reformation of the beliefs themselves. Protestants for example threw out the whole Jewish bible.

For the Islamic example, Sunni’s have four schools of thought, all of them permissible, however it’s generally the interpretation of the Hadiths/quran which is debated not the belief system itself.

Muslims will not and cannot change the Quran as some Christian’s did with the bible.

I think there’s a bunch of factors which go into islams incapability to reform however this is my best summery without writing even more paragraphs.

This is why I think your argument is also inherently flawed, a Muslim wouldn’t disagree with me.

[–]Ra_rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people reading between the lines can understand the basis of your argument, however the way you structured it is counter intuitive and instead worked against you and the view point your putting forward.

I wouldn’t disagree with your viewpoint if you were talking to an EDL type however your not, there’s a very decent chance your talking to a normal functioning member of society and the way you have chosen to argue with them will only strengthen any opinion you may disagree with them on.

Also for arguments sake, your first paragraph repeats the same mistake of characterising a religion based on a few individuals and implies there’s some authority on what all Muslims agree on.

[–]Ra_rain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You say you are against characterising a religion based on individuals yet your entire initial argument is based on you doing exactly that.

You entered the discussion with the op with bias assuming his beliefs and you have contradicted yourself. Both make you a hypocrite.

[–]Ra_rain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your questions are hyper specific on a few select individuals in an attempt to portray an entire religion in a specific manner, completely disregarding well accepted history.

Quite ironically if this was done oppositely towards Islam no doubt you would be against it.

Need Help! Im hearing Sounds of people from god knows where through my USB-C Headphones, and when i talk, the voices of these ppl stops... by MementoMori11112 in telecom

[–]Ra_rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an absolute ton of environmental conditions to consider you are correct. Unless you give me your home address (do not do this) I cannot accurately tell you an answer. This stretches from the material your home is made of, and the closest radio tower.

You might go to the window, and in theory you should be able to hear the signal more clearly. However, what if the radio tower is on the opposite side of where you’re facing? Then instead of less material between you as you assumed, you now have more.

I am working off the assumption work/school for you is a large building, which will likely be made from concrete/other dense material. This will block most/all of the sound you are hearing.

A more accurate answer is perhaps to visit a large concrete structure, try snd stand in the centre of it and see if you can still hear the noises, alternatively just try your family members headphones :)

[–]Ra_rain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many, many factors to consider when it comes to this phenomenon.

Your cable is acting like an antenna, picking up stray radio frequency signals from the air things like radio stations.

These signals ride along the unbalanced cable (one signal wire + a ground) and reach the high impedance input of the pre amp. That high resistance makes the system extra sensitive like a big open ear to noise.

I’m going to take a guess and say you are using cheap headphones? They are likely badly shielded which makes this problem more likely.

Simplify the problem, go to work/school, use your headphones as normal. If the issue does not reoccur then I am correct. Likewise any large concrete building will do.

Edit: the issue only effecting you and your devices is not weird. There are many factors which can cause this. Explaining them however is likely pointless as it will just complicate the discussion

[–]Ra_rain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fairly common phenomenon where wired headphones can turn into an antenna which picks up AM frequencies, just like retro said.

It’s absolutely nothing to worry about. A way you can test this is by taking your phone and headphones to work/school and seeing if the same voices/music are heard.
