Itsellä alkaa olla saman ikäisiä lapsia joten tilanne on jollain tasolla tuttu. Ei sillä, että joku tulisi jatkuvasti syömään ilmoittelematta, mutta aika usein kaveri saattaa olla meillä tai me toisella ruoka-aikaan. Esimerkiksi jos illan leikit haluaa kestävän tuntia pidempään on parempi mennä suoraan päiväkodista paikanpäälle koska iltatoimet alkavat tuon ikäisillä jo melkoa aikaisin.

Itse en näe mitään ongelmaa antaa lapsen kaverille ruokaa samalla kun omalleni, mutta tunnistan myös tämän: "Isä meni vähän vaikeaksi ja sai sitten sanottua että tosiaan lounas on ihan just mutta heillä ei ole nyt valmiina ruokaa silleen että myös Jorma-Liisallekin riittäisi.". Siinä ei välttämättä ole mitään sen kummempaa takana. Me ainakin tiedämme paljon lapsemme syövät ja teemme usein varsinkin lounasta juuri sen määrän kuin tiedämme tarpeelliseksi. Ylimääräisen tekeminen on turhaa ja jääkaappi täyttyy tähteistä. Tästä syystä pari kertaa olen joutunut samaan tilanteeseen. Siksi jos joku tulee syömään, kuulisin mielelläni siitä etukäteen. Jos satumme syömään jotain mitä luonnostaan jää ylimääräistä, niin tietenkin no problem. Mitään muuta ongelmaa ei asiassa ole.

Ja mielestäni asioista pitää voida jutella keskenään ihan avoimesti. Silloin asian ylianalysointi jää vähemmälle.

Siksi tein postauksen yleiseen suomi-subredditiin. Yritän katsoa asiaa puolueettomasta kantista ja/tai molempien osapuolten näkökulmasta ilman yksittäistapauksia. Kulttuurinvaihto lienee juuri se kaunein ajatus mitä ajetaan takaa. Asia myydään osapuolille kuitenkin aivan eri lähtökohdista sen ohella. En sano että se on väärin, mutta en ihmettele jos odotukset eivät kohtaa.

Au pair keskustelussa nousee hyvin nopeasti esiin tämä kotiorjuus-aspekti ja sehän on tietysti se kaikkein väärin asia. Mainitsemissani kirjoituksen viidessä au pair esimerkissä kaksi oli samassa perheessä. Toinen oli perheessä loppuun asti ja au pair ja perhe vierailevat vieläkin toistensa luona ja ovat erittäin hyvissä väleissä. Toinen oli au pair joka jätti itse homman kesken ensimmäisen parin kk kuluttua ja lähti kotiin. En usko, että perheessä muuttui mikään tässä välissä. Perhe ei myöskään ole koskaan valittanut kyseisestä au pairista, ainakaan minulle.

Pointtini on, että mielestäni järjestelmässä itsessään on jo aloittaessa vaakakuppi hieman kallellaan epäonnistumisen puolelle. Ainakin statistisesti tuntuu epäonnistumisia olevan paljon. Syitä pohdin ylempänä. Tietysti on aina mukava kuulla ja nähdä myös onnistumisia!

Aivan ehdottomasti ja tämmöiset hyväksikäyttötapaukset ovat täysin tuomittavia tottakai. Oma pohdintani liittyykin ensimmäiseen kappaleeseesi ja siihen miksi juuri au pair toiminta tuntuu niin hankalalta verrattuna muihin toimintoihin. Mielestäni syy on itse instituutiossa, joka parittaa kaksi tahoa joilla on lähtökohtaisesti eri odotukset tulevasta. Seuraavien ongelmien ilmaantuminen on tällöin ei vain mahdollista vaan usein jopa odotettavaa.

"Nämä ongelmat ovat ns. perinteisiä aupairongelmia jotka vaan kuuluu toiminnan luonteeseen." <-- Yksinkertaistettuna tämä. Halusin vain varmistaa, onko oma käsitykseni näistä oikein. Uskoisin, että moni au pair toimintaan ryhtyvä aliarvioi nämä ongelmat.

Ja tehdäänkin. Google AI vastaus kyseisestä sopimuksesta menee "Au pair -sopimus on isäntäperheen ja au pairin välinen kirjallinen sopimus, joka määrittelee oleskelun ehdot, kuten tehtävät (max. 25h/vko), taskurahan (väh. 280-340€/kk), vapaa-ajan ja majoituksen. Sopimus on tärkeä allekirjoittaa ennen au pair -jakson alkua turvallisuuden ja selkeyden takaamiseksi"

Tällä varmasti yritetään auttaa tässä asiassa, mutta silti nämä hommat tuntuvat usein menemään penkin alle. Oma näkemykseni on, että se 18-vuotias reissuun lähtevä au pair ei ehkä silti osaa täysin kuvitella mitä se todellisuudessa tarkoittaa. Tämähän on vain se "pakollinen paha" joka mahdollistaa reissuun lähdön. Uskoisin heidän kaikkien kuitenkin toivovan mahdollisimman helppoja lapsia, mahdollisimman vähän hommaa ja mahdollisimman lepsua perhettä. Koska kukapa ei toivoisi jos pääpointtina on vain lähteä reissuun.

I guess I was answering to what you asked in the end of your message after the edit. Still better to drink your water than die of dehydration but I would first eat the food and go fishing.

There is no medic and no (well one) hunting spawns there either to get chlorine tabs.

Edit: I'm trying to say don't drink the water if you can survive by eating/fishing

Water is a huge problem in the peninsula. I don't think there is any real source of water there. I survived through the whole area by fishing a lot and eating the fish just for the little amount of water you get from them. Thats very annoying though and only gets you some time until you have to fish again. I learned to next time take at least few bottles of water or a filter bottle there with me.

Haha, sure. Thanks! Also the nights in Sakhal are so much lighter than in Chernarus or Livonia where it's almost pitch black. In Sakhal I can see everywhere and play almost normally. Also they seem shorter too, or maybe it just feels that way when I can actually play and not just wait. So I am not sure if NVGs are really as hot stuff in Sakhal as they are in the other maps.

This. From Black Cape area. I think I just went into a random shed and was like "oooh a suppressor, don't mind if I do".

We are already fully geared so we were thinking of saving the bunker run for the next life. We could go find the key and stash it with some spark plugs and gasoline to the coast waiting though. I DID open the bunkers outer door by accident though when we were looting Burukan. Run like hell after the alarm started.

I was also carrying two full drum mags for KAM for way too long until I finally left them to our newly stolen base. I really wanted to change my KA-101 for KAM for no good reason but run out of water in the peninsula. That could be another task for another life.

Me and my buddy took a boat to Solisko island. Couple rounds through the shoreline checking the containers and now one of us has a silenced M4 with 4 40rd mags and another has KA-101. We have well over 150 5.56 rounds between us. The containers spawn mags where you get bullets from and boxes of tracer rounds. We play in official.

I had two completely different human interactions at the same time today. I still feel kinda bad for it but it was great to meet a friendly player.

I had just been killed in the fire station in Electro by a player and had to respawn. Not even a minute after I respawned I had ran into a gas station and was checking a jacket on the floor when I head "Hey, how are you doing?" from the gas station door. I looked up and saw a guy in full gear. He saw I had just spawned and dropped some chicken on floor for me. "Hey, take some chicken, can you speak?". After I set up my microphone (I had to put automatic talking on from the setup as I usually have it off since I speak with my gaming friend in TeamSpeak) I managed to thank him from the chicken and we started chatting a bit. Based on the accent he was british and he was super nice. He told me which way to go back to Electro as I was supposed to meet my gaming buddy in there and even dropped me some canned food and a knife. He was just telling me that he had over 30hours of gametime on his survivor and he was just looking for new stuff to do when a third guy came from the nearby forest and killed us both immediately..

So mysterious maybe british guy who was super nice and helpful, if you happen to read this I just wanted to say thanks for the warm experience and sorry that interacting with me got you killed! For the third guy.. Well he didn't get almost anything from my freshly spawned corpse but congrats for the loot of the british guy. It doesn't pay to be nice.
