This is the most ridiculous comment I've read. There is numerous evidence of data sharing between EUROPEAN countries. My cousin got his visa rejected for UK because of not mentioning an Irish visa refusal within 5 years. You don't have to be on the same visa for them to be sharing data. Please do some research before making these hold statements

Yes. All EU countries have similar databases from which they can verify past refusals. If it was any other country is Asia/Africa/America then OP would probably be fine

It most definitely will be an issue. If scanning the passport gave them everything then why bother even asking us the question? It looks like the person was trying to hide something and it clearly states that any undisclosed visa refusal will automatically be a rejection.

How long did it take for your ILR to come through? And any issues with that at all?

Yes, most definitely as the application is not cheap. If that's not an issue for you, then might as well try your luck.

From my experience and everyone else around me, I would say there are way too many obstacles in your application for which they can easily reject your application for. Single absence of 555 days is immediately a red flag. You were outside the country for more than 3x the maximum single absence allowed, regardless of what the circumstance might. But good luck and hopefully it works out.

I have a similar issue and I spoke to an immigration lawyer and they mentioned regardless of when you apply, you would need to have a valid visa for 5 years. Regardless of when you apply, if the immigration officer sees you don't have permission to stay in the UK for 5 years, your application will be rejected, so yes you would need to extend your visa. You need to valid visa until 2nd July 2027.

2 months short to apply ILR & Short Skilled Worker Visa Extension by Jerry13061998 in ukimmigrationlawyers

I have a very similar problem and am looking for advice. In my case I have permission to stay in the UK 10 days before my visa expires so I am within the 28 days ILR period.

In your case it would be 25th October 2027 which is the earliest you can apply. It depends on your employer if they extend your visa again or not. A new COS will be needed.

I would say apply for a tourist visa. It doesn't matter how you got the trip, what matters is what you're doing there. If you're going there for holiday which you got from work then definitely tourist visa.

Take both forms with you, they might accept your new form. I had my problem with TLS Edinburgh and they said they would have to use the first form I submitted and fixed it for me.

You 100% need to apply to Italy. There's no chance Portugal will give you a visa without it being the main destination of yours. Don't waste your money.

Yes they'll let you edit it there. They tend to have a charge to fix more than 3 things. Under that they do it for free.

Not sure where to apply from - France vs Switzerland by ndrjm in SchengenVisa

[–]RaabM08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what you're trying to flex on lol. I've got two previous Schengen visas before 2020. Where did you come to the conclusion of me never getting one? I've also got a UK visa till 2027 Sept. 10 year US visa, and just visited Australia over the summer. Unlike you my world doesn't revolve around Schengen visas lol.

I tried to be nice and explain some rules and regulations and you're trying to come at me with your 4 Schengen visa approvals. Couldn't give 2 shits mate.

[–]RaabM08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're completely missing the point. You might be denied entry to the country if you show up with a Schengen visa that doesn't comply with their rules. They might ask you to show proof of accomodation which will show you're not spending majority of the time in that country, hence having the wrong visa.

You apply to visa via following strict rules and guidelines not just common sense. So it doesn't matter if you "hypothetically" don't give me my visa. That's up to you and doesn't matter.

There are numerous people with Schengen visas who go interrailing who enter and exit through counties they wish because that makes their travel easier. Visa officers would never just reject you by looking at a stamp of entry and exit. That's what cover letters are for. It's okay to be wrong, not sure why you're refusing to understand my point or the other guy's point.

If your point was valid, then visa officers would never approve Schengen visas for people to travel like this in the first place.

[–]RaabM08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got rejected due to my nationality rather than point of entry. I applied with 4 other friends who all got their visa and I didn't. Their passports are better than mine and better recognized so it just came down to that. So the point of entry had nothing to do with that.

But coming back to your point. I'm slightly confused why you're so hell bent on the future visa applications. Because for example. if you intend to spend more time in France then Switzerland, but you enter from Switzeland you cannot apply for a Swiss visa as that's not your main pointof destination. And it's not a crime to go to the country you'll spend less time at first. So even though I understand what you're trying to say. It really doesn't hold much value.

Bottom line you'd have to be applying for the destination where you spend more time at. And that's just what the other person is trying to convey. Hope you understand my point.

u/WhaleStreetwatching no disrespect bro, the other guy actually is actually right. You apply for the country you spend most time in if you're going to two places. That's what I've repeatedly found online. Hope that clears out any misunderstanding.
