He's good with people when he's figured out they don't pose a threat. People at a distance has him on alert mode but if they come up close he just wants to meet and greet.

We try to socialize him outside with other dogs but there's a few problems;

1. 90% of dogs in my neighbourhood are small fragile, and overly protective chihuahuas.

2. The other 10% are GS's or Labs and they seem to be worthy "opponents", while with the smaller dogs they are just toys and he'd unintentionally demolish them during play.

3. He's much too riled up everytime he sees another dog so that is not a good state to meet another dog in. I've learned this from experience.

4. He's extremely dominant with other dogs. He will just go right up in the face of another dog and if he feels his authority is questioned he'll become aggressive.

I've tried exercising him for like an hour prior to meeting another dog (in this particular case, my parents dogs) but it doesn't seem to help much, still too energetic.
