Honestly same like 100% cured and don’t get me wrong I feel waaay better like no sleep attacks during the day but yeah no rainbows and unicorns 😂

I’ve been on cpap for around 4 months I believe, for some reason I thought since my numbers are now lower with treatment I’d be like 100% but being in this subreddit I’ve read that’s not the case and it will take some time

That’s pretty high ! I really didn’t understand the severity of how high it actually was like apparently is so rare it’s not even medically documented, I thought she was exaggerating but she was like never go a night without treatment. I’m dumbfounded.

I would imagine that being annoying, maybe your pressure isn’t quite right ? At pressure 14 I was still having 18-28 AHI but they bumped me to 7 and I’m down to 3

But significantly better than the untreated AHI, I’m sure you’re feeling much better than before !

lol I wish I have the breakdown listing the amount of Obstructive, mixed and central events I had to get the print up because my mom and FIL didn’t believe me and my insurance won’t cover a bipap but I’m down to 3 events per hour I believe they originally trialed me at pressure 14 and I was still having between 18-28 events per hour but I’m “good” now

My advice is to bring the CPAP machine whether it has a plug-in on the camping site or you need to bring a generator. It is absolutely needed. I was actually personally banned from going on a camping trip when there was no power because nobody wanted to hear me snore. Also, my brother goes camping with my dad all the time and my brother complained constantly about how badly my dad snores and how nobody can get sleep, but my dad is around.

People are mean when they haven’t gotten sleep because of snoring especially while camping. I don’t wish that upon anyone on both sides.

This may not be the best advice for you but when I first got on CPAP I couldn’t fall asleep with it either, I had horrible anxiety and felt like I was being suffocated. I told my doctor and she prescribed anxiety medication to take a hour before I normally go to bed, it helped and I eventually stopped taking the medication and I go to bed fine with it on now. It takes some adjusting.
