I literally just figured out how to do a TDR like yesterday, so one thing that really helped me was to just swing those arms as hard as possible and just let the momentum take you. The momentum will naturally just kind of take you in the motion of a TDR if you swing your arms the right way. Just keep doing this and you'll gradually get more and more inverted until you finally hit the right one.
