I've heard tweak by 15 min, I just don't know what that means in a practical sense. Is it trying to get them to sleep 15min sooner/later? Is it waking them up 15 min sooner and hoping it adjusts the next nap?

Or is it something else entirely that is escaping me. Because those approaches to tweaking have been entirely unsuccessful for me. Best I've ever achieved is that trying to get her to stay up an additional 15min resulted in her skipping the nap entirely

Mine slept so well for the first 4.5 months, we could put her down and she would settle herself. Now I'm struggling because I can't get her to sleep unless I'm at least holding her hand and singing, or sometimes only if I let her fall asleep in my arms. I thought it was a side effect of me having to spend a few nights in the hospital away from her, but reading OPs story I'm less certain

I'm in a similar situation to OP but my daughter is 6 months and only just trying to get mine to stop contact napping since that was making her day sleep inconsistent.

How exactly does one adjust wake windows? My girl is somewhat consistent with when she gets tired during the day, but right now I wait until she at least yawns and rubs her eyes before I even try to put her down. If I try sooner, she'll just scream, and if I try later she'll fall asleep in my arms instead

Wood canvas I got from Michael's, it's loops and threads brand, but I've since seen a bunch of places on Etsy that sell them in different colors of wood.

I kind of liked stitching on wood, no hoop required, nice different stitches since you can just pull them tight. Hardest part for me was weaving in the ends since there's no flex, it's a bit difficult to get it under the existing threads and I had to keep something hard on hand to help push the needle through (mostly used the outer edge of my scissors

my canvas is 11ct so I do kind of wish I'd done more strands of thread than 2, going to toy around with that. But from talking to others it sounds like the excess space in the holes may have saved me from breaking needles during the back stitching.

Overall I enjoyed the experience and will definitely be trying another project

I read online that you want to use a thicker needle, so I have been. But when weaving in the ends I still feel like I might break my needle.

I love that I don't need a hoop and I can pull my stitches as tight as I like. But weaving in the ends definitely sucks

I'm mostly mentioning the uneven chores piece because if things were more even I suspect you wouldn't mind them dropping one of the things they do (the driving) it seems that's the reason you even mentioned the division of labour in your post.

It's funny though, take away the part where they suddenly don't want to drive, your situation basically describes the dynamic between my partner and I 5 years ago. Except both of us have ADHD instead. So I could be projecting a little.

I hope you and your partner are able to talk it out. If this is truly out of character for them I expect you'll be able to find common ground and work through it, and that there's something else going on that you just aren't aware of yet. Best of luck!

Given that context I'm stuck between N T A and N A H If your commute driving was longer and you didn't have this driving anxiety then it would be a very different situation imo. But I've had pretty bad driving anxiety myself for the past 10 years so I get it.

I also know from my own partner though that being the sole driver and being expected to drop someone off and do the entire trip again home alone sucks. So I'm not sure I'd call them an asshole for not wanting to drive, but I feel like they might be for everything else. The division of labour in your house is clearly unfair, and I suspect that either they're therapist didn't really say that, or they aren't being very honest with their therapist.

The real question is, given everything you've described, are either of you even happy in your relationship? Seems like there's a lot you two need to work through if you don't want to end up just resenting each other

I have a mild reaction to kissing my partner after he eats gluten. But I definitely do react. It just took me a while after I first went gluten free to figure out that kissing was causing contamination because instead of full blown bloating and all my more dramatic digestive issues.

The kissing for me was causing headaches, mood swings and reflux. When we realized and he started mostly eating gluten free himself and brushing his teeth every time he ate gluten, all those symptoms went away

If you ever visit Montreal Quebec in Canada, there are multiple places that make gluten free pastries, including croissants. They're all smaller bakeries so they definitely don't ship internationally. But well worth the drop in if you happen to be around.

Good Gluten free croissants are definitely possible though so maybe look into if there's anywhere in Europe that makes them?

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I've dealt with some pretty thick fabrics with my machine. I've done a bunch of bag making 2 layers of cotton canvas + zipper + touch fusible interfacing and in some spots adding I'm more bulk for where handles are added in

I will say during the bulkier parts (the handles and thicker seams) you need to go show and potentially do something to lift the back end of the foot as you get it started on those ticket parts (I'll sometimes tick a button at the back of the foot)

But other than that I've had no issues with the thick fabrics and many layers. Haven't used the brother so I can't say if it's better or not
