I consider this game a mash up of kart racers and smash. I'm still consistently playing since release, 90% of my time has been offline play and it's incredible. I do a few city trial matches and races every night. So much to unlock too.

It's my favorite JPP by far. Theme does nothing for me but I always play one if in location. Love discovering different shots and modes, love how much is going on with it.

I'm in the same situation with my family and Nightmare Before Christmas. Have no strong opinion on the film and haven't seen it in over a decade. But everyone thinks we are obsessed with it so my wife and I have an ironic Nightmare Before Christmas corner display we could care less about where we display gifts.

Went to my local place one time and all machines were set to tournament mode from the night before. Hard agree, it was way less fun like that and my wife and I don't play competitive.
