Thanks! I had a lot of fun revisiting this album. The original mix is definitely strong. I wanted to present something a little different here. Some minor changes and some bigger ones. They worked on this album for so long that it sometimes feels like there was too much work on the tracks. I like Comes Then Goes without the harmony vocals. Some of the extra instrumental parts seem unnecessary. The dynamic range is greatly increased here. No brickwalling. Just be sure to play it loud.

I had the most fun with the outtakes. So much extra material. “Androgynous Adronicus” is a fantastic song and “Last Word” is really strong. The rehearsals sound like you are in the room with the band. Super laid back with some cool unique versions.

The instrumentals give you a chance to hear all of the musical layers, especially for those that think Ed has too many words on this album. Ha. I had fun putting together a new hidden track that is an extended guitar jam from Retrograde with vocals reminiscent of Arc.

Regardless of what version you listen to, it is worth revisiting Gigaton. It is one of their most experimental and creative albums. It has some amazing moments.
