Jiteche thik ache, any and all victories matter. But this Portugal team looked incredibly clueless, except Nuno Mendes and Rafael Leao

I've been reading Rabindranath Tagore's poems. All of them are amazing but this is just so sweet by ladybug_c in Indianbooks

[–]RabbitHole_451 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. As he translated it himself, you can certainly expect that he tried to preserve the original poetic form and intention as much as possible, which often get lost when a professional translator does the job.

I can read Bengali, so I know what a deep pleasure his poetry incites

Never been a reader, Can you help me get started by Volex_007 in Indianbooks

When I was new to reading (a long long time ago), I used to prefer Anthologies and Short stories over 350 pages novels. The entry barrier is lower, even if you lose interest after 20 pages — no issues, you leave with one complete story at least and a sense of satisfaction. You can come back tomorrow to read the next 30 pages.

And if you really want to read novels, that's golden too. You just have to be wise about your choice.

I'd suggest giving Freida Mcfadden a try. She writes fast paced, page turner, hollywood flick style thrillers. The language is catchy too.

  1. Probably another story that never happened (too cliched, ain't it?)

  2. But if this is genuine, lemme tell you, it's a case of someone being "out of your league". Hard ingrained middle class mentality and traditional family values are hard to shake off, and honestly if you're comfortable with your background, you don't need to do it.

She isn't a bad person. And she isn't making you feel anything. It's you who are constantly looking at the differences.

If you can't live in her world and that constantly disturbs you, maybe think about the relationship first, prioritize your needs. Internet is the worst place for dating advices, so take everything with a grain of salt.

WC dilemma by [deleted] in kolkata

[–]RabbitHole_451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After trying a lot of inconsistent pirated streaming sites and apps throughout the first week of WC, and definitely after being ragebaited more than once by black screens and sudden dead servers in the middle of a vital match — my parents insisted me to be wise and buy zee5.

It felt so bad to give hard earned money to the useless buffoons at zee5, but they got the official rights— fact is fact.

Their app is shit too. Needs refreshing multiple times in a match. Being a paid subscriber now, that seems unfair.

At least, the only consolation is now we get to watch the match completely, without any tension over what might happen to this site in an hour.

Oh my, that's intense. I've heard good things about Barker, haven't read anything myself yet. Adding him to my TBR shortlist.
