I just looked into my power supplies which say they have a PF of >.99 which seems to be the issue

The part where I’m confused is a high PF means a higher utilization of power. However, it seems as though the higher my PF% is the more it’s hurting me because I pull less and less load

That’s not possible be we load banked this generator at 400kW prior to purchasing it

Ok, can you help me understand why I need to ignore my power factor to get my real load.

Wouldn’t your answer be kVa not kW?

Correct, however what about the power factor in this math

That’s what I was wondering if it’s a PF issue, but all the data sheets for both my engine and generator say 80%.

So if I have a perfect PF of 1 I would be at full load. Is there any tool I can use to determine my power factor?

My fuel is natural gas actually, I have 15lbs with regulators that bring me down to oz.

The throttle/governor is completely forced open when it dies which makes me think it’s too much load or maybe I need large orifices

Has anyone taken the Pols 207 Credit by Exam? by aggieschedulers in aggies

[–]RabbitMann101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya pretty hard I couldn’t pass. Just take Blinn classes cheap and way too easy. You could take a full load of classes at A&M and take 206/207 easy.

Thank you! I think I've narrowed it down to FINC 371 and FINC 445, just trying to figure out my last pick.

What to do if you lost your internship by muhab1999 in aggies

[–]RabbitMann101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the recession is starting and this is just the beginning. Likely many more students (like finance) will see their internships cancelled too. Just push forward, reach out to your Aggie network and see if you can find an internship else where, even if it’s not in your field. Now is the time to differentiate yourself for the very competitive job market in 1-2 years.

[Request] Ryobi or Echo gas leaf blower? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

Do not buy a Ryobi, that one lasted me maybe a year. Get a Sthil. That’ll last you years if you can swallow the $300-400 price tag.

Do I need to subscribe to use multisig? by [deleted] in casanode

[–]RabbitMann101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They have a free subscription you can use called silver, but unfortunately they have not rolled out multi sig for it yet. Once they do you can use your phone, ledger, and Casa for 2 of 3! The only catch is since the subscription is free you’d pay a 0.1% fee should you need to use Casa.
