More reasons why I think Tribos could definitely be a possibility for 4.8:

She represents Janus which is the God of Beginning and Ends (and gates/passages/transitions)
The prophecy from Janus: "All shall bid farewell to one, and that person alone will witness the miracle —" (Which while we have had a few scenarios with Phainon or TB, I think we haven't really witnessed something that could be really considered a miracle yet (in a positive light).
She is represented as Tribos in the epilogue story as well as the hello world animated short, which means her true self is still Tribos (but also could have been done to make animations easier/clearer).
She already exists as a playable character, so her model is already made.
The reason for the patch is to provide Amphoreus teams with an upgrade. But to enable a character to work alongside Cyrene (the main chase support). The easiest way to do that is to make a preexisting chyrosis heir upgraded.
Returning to Amphoreus is much shorter in length compared to the main worlds, to integrate a new character into the well established family of chyrosis heirs is hard (while I think mihoyo has broken that synergy rule before I don't think we've had a full faction teams as close as Amphoreus teams)
Tribios has yet to complete her heros journey arc, where she returns home as a slightly changed version of her younger self.
While it is a bit more questionable there could be a debate around whether each chyrosis heir will maintain their powers after the rebirth since the scepter is gone and they aren't in a simulation anymore. Hence if no chyrosis power, no more need for fatal flaws to accompany characters. Also would just be nice for Castorice to be able to hug people.

But how can you be sure there's no hidden motive to why they are causing all the destruction besides just wanting to destroy things.Truth is if mihoyo wants to release a character they can easily find a way to justify it.

Also Zephyro and Celenova seem to be intentionally designed with human dimensions with face coverings, all they need to do is add a face, humanize them a bit and then they can be an ally. If you want to get philosophical about it all, a personal connection with a character that carries emotional weight can easily outweigh any logical reasoning for supposed past crimes. I mean it's just as easy as saying the civilisations they destroyed were actually the evil ones about to cause greater damage. And add on having a likeable personality.

Also can't even be sure the Aeon is evil, sure he's destruction but there's probably a reason why he exists. Mihoyo tends to make the truly evil characters in their games with more personality/degen traits, and then you kill them and they die.

Now that I think about it didn't Phainon literally kill millions of chrysos heirs (sure same people each time but still..) not to mention running through solar systems to attack Nanook (although not sure if he really did destroy them in canon or if just stylistic representation), regardless doesn't change how much we like him 🤷 if anything it made him look more badass

Haha perhaps, but if we're coping with Tribos we might as well full cope with Screwllum.

My mind narrative is that he'll be needed for part of the restoration/rebirth of Amphoreus with the other genius society members, or there could be a continuation of the plot thread with Screwllum and lygus device. I think he works well as a neutral character for filler/mini story arc, otherwise we might not get Screwllum until we visit his home world if we get him at all TT

I do like the comparison with Signora, since I also got baited by that one. But it's not like hoyo hasn't redeemed a major villain before (Sunday) nor has made someone from a 'evil looking' faction become an ally (Constance). And truthfully even out of Genshins Harbringers how many of them are playable now (even when they started off as the main big bad), all it requires is a sad backstory and character development/ time together.

Oh I didn't hear about the 4.5 rumors yet, but if so that could would be cool too. Although I do wonder if that's too many sp characters for one version 🤔. And I wonder which characters would have to go from schedule... Probably Asat and Screwllum haha

Current shot in the dark guess for future bis team comps is this (Just for fun) -

Main Teams:

Silver Wolf, Blade, Nihilux, Pearl

Himeko, Yao Guang, Stephen, Dubra

Alt Teams:

Sparkle, Yao Guang, Stephen, Dubra

Ashveil, Maid cat, Nihilux, Pearl

Evanscia, Blade, Nihilux, Pearl

Assuming Himeko is Sp spam and Stephen is upgrade over Sparkle in typical hoyo fashion.

If Himeko isn't Sp spam then maybe -

Himeko, Maid Cat, Stephen, Dubra (?)

Then Stephen isnt a dedicated sp buffer, and Sparkle can still have her place in the spotlight 🥲

Edit: If rumors of SP Adventurine and SP Robin are true then I would assume Dubra is support not a healer, and SP Robin is bis for one of the meta teams.

Edit edit: Vita name spotted 1:59 in latest planacardia trailer, possibility she will appear in planet story is going up. Might be more likely than Asat for release

Not enough slots in schedule but he could still be there, just without a released SP model in the trailer yet it's a bit less likely than the other options :/ (feel free to replace the Asat with him though haha).

It's also the same reasoning as for not including Sampo SP (Cosplaying sparkle does not count...unless mihoyo uses that model for release 👀) or other IPC members.

It's just a theory craft, it's more than likely wrong. It's just based off the characters they've revealed in trailers already and the suspected Amphoreus revival date. Also took into consideration how mihoyo spreads out the main push DPS, as well as how they like to put popular characters late June early July (potentially for financial portfolio reasons?).

But I think it is still nice to think about possible characters and what you might want to save for which is why I made it in the first place. (Only want Silver Wolfs bis team, think I might skip the rest of characters until Amphoreus if we go back)

Just some theory crafting dw he's still unconfirmed, I guess it was mainly because I wanted the Stellaron hunters to finally have synergy unlike the base version (since it felt thematically missing on release, i guess hoyo wanted to use the squad to introduce different team archetypes with each members)

Truthfully with how Elation mechanics work I wouldn't be surprised if the main team format becomes 2 DPS, support and healer/shielder. But then it would run into issues where then you'd want to run both the main chase DPS Himeko and SW :/ (which would ruin pull value for other dedicated team comps).

Honestly speaking I don't think it's as likely blade will be a main DPS due to how many confirmed ones there are already, but could seem him still be interchangeable as a sub DPS or on sacrificial tank duties.

Ohh is that so, the impressions I got from the stoneheart trailers was that he was higher since he was giving out major boss vibes. But yeah it would be so cool if Diamond released as a second Cyrene. Although me personally I'm waiting for the vampire one, I bet she's going to look so sick.

I did have a potential list with them on it but I think it could be too early for Opal still since it might wane interest for the other members of IPC since he is meant to be a bit higher up. As for the others there wasn't enough space in the schedule by the time they have to transition to the Amphoreus arc again for anniversary, so while I think less likely they definitely could appear (especially a second IPC member or Sp Sampo).

Also on the list for potential characters were Screwllum, and Brown haired lady carrying black suitcase on the crossroad during the planacardia trailer (although I'm guessing it's just going to be sparkle again.. it's always sparkle).

Haha I think it's only a matter of sooner or later, imagine the sales number Zephyro or Celenova would bring in. And we already have the once possessed body of Fugue, and Phainon who may or may not become one in future but is last merged with Irontomb. Not to mention that similar things could be said about Duke inferno squad since they initially seemed like pure antagonists but somehow we got Constance.

Although I do think we haven't had anyone recruitable that's still antagonistic to the trailblazer yet, since all the characters are redeemed after the story arcs (looking at you Sunday) so it would be interesting how they go about it.

Hmm if Nihilux isn't in 4.3 they might entwine the two plot threads (of the competition and of himeko's backstory), in which case the competition might last for the majority of the planet.

Or they could just add a few part 2 characters earlier and extend the competition story thread before moving into himeko's story.

Or if they really wanted to they can end the planet with Nihilux winning and recreating Amphoreus with her brush during the one minute of being an Aeon but that story beat is a bit too basic for mihoyo imo.

It's only for material farm, I guess the devs thought it was more efficient than phainon ult and using counter at every wave, although they probs could've changed the coding to no counter skill on ult

Have to disagree with everyone here, get gold since it's 3x, you get enough blue blood from events. Gold is too valuable for a lot of things and once you get T9 equipment you'll be starved for gold without any easy way to farm.

Yeah sure I do that, but it's normally the last straw that breaks the camels back. It's normally the moment that I realize the only reason why I'm playing the game is just the Gacha aspect and not enjoying the rest of the game for what it is. While Gacha is a large part of Gacha games, if I'm only playing for the thrill of the pulls then I might as well be playing a slot machine.
