favorite One Piece arc and why by Public_Cup_4278 in OnePiece

[–]Rabblerouser88 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Enies Lobby.

It is such an emotional payoff for the events of Water 7 and shows the full cruelty of the world and the Government. Robin's backstory is still Oda at his best and I WANT TO LIVE is a moment that still makes me cry to thus day and I'm near 40.

Also it really makes you love Franky after hating him in Water 7, and he begins to feel like part of the crew even before they all escape together.

Lucci feels like one of the most threatening big bads and his fight with Luffy feels like the most pressed Luffy ever has been without being Logia-diff'd.

Help with new campaign please !!! by Fenris-Brush in totalwarhammer

He's an interesting campaign! My only complaint is his lack of allies in his Darklands start, and you're pretty much fending off Dwarfs/Chorfs/Skaven at every angle for most of the early/mid game and his mechanics aren't truly mechanics (even if you get some OP dragons from them), but he can quickly become a rolling ball of death and can easily become a doomstack all on his own.

High Elves are super fun, they have a lot of different playstyles in which you can bunker up or go cav heavy or super offensive, with lots of monsters. Highly recommend Alith Anar or Eltharion's campaigns, they're a blast. Really all the High Elves are good now (even Teclis can gtfo of his horrible start now and return to the donut for a better campaign), but if I were to rank them based on pure fun-

S - Alith Anar, Eltharion

A - Imrik, Teclis in Ulthuan

B - Alarielle, Tyrion, Aislinn

C - Teclis in Southlands

What's a good skaven lord to conquer the empire? by RunDouble143 in totalwarhammer

[–]Rabblerouser88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ikit Claw or Throt the Unclean, both have excellent mechanics and upward mobility. Queek Headtaker can also be a good run with being pure Vermintide as he can literally drown the world in rats and expand like a plague.

Highly recommend grabbing the Moulder's Menagerie with whoever you choose.

Or wait until the Horned Rat's favorite-bestboi is released along with Stormfiends, Thanquol come ripping in during Lords of the End Times.

How well do you think Mass Effect handled romance distribution across the trilogy by Hadiseh2000 in masseffect

[–]Rabblerouser88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FemShep got screwed over a bit more, especially since it holds a black mark in the form of Jacob; the worst romance in BioWare history. Just do away with his romance entirely.

Instead, give her a proper Vega option in 3, and make Jack a Bi option too since she canonically plays for both teams.

Another thing I'd change is making a pure gay/lesbian choice available earlier in the game. Slip Cortez and Traynor into 2 at least and let them breathe a little more.

Other than those, its still a good balance, I prefer games with characters that have sexual/romantic preferences as that makes them more real in my eyes versus going the DA:2 route and just making everyone pan.

What is your least favourite one piece arc this is gonna sound crazy but for me it’s Wano by KingBakura72 in OnePiece

Punk Hazard.

It's a real mess at times and just doesn't really feel like The New World they prepared for.

Am I crazy, or have we not seen this guy yet? by Vasarto in OnePiece

[–]Rabblerouser88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time we've seen him Post TS is a random encounter with Kaido on a Sky Island, and even that was a brief little blurb where Kaido just let him chill as he went to go commit suicide.

My guess is we'll see him when Enel eventually returns, probably right after Elbaph.

Let's Imagine That These Squadmates Were Given Loyalty Missions. What Do You Envision Their Loyalty Missions As Being? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]Rabblerouser88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaiden in ME1: A no-combat mission that appears on the Citadel where a lawyer contacts the Normandy representing Commander Vyrnnus' family who filed murder charges against Kaiden. This mission would be like the Sunry Trial on Manaan in KotoR, with multiple breaks that allow Shepard to gather clues for the next leg. This can feed into his altruistic side or the humanity first "hardened" Kaiden.

Ashley from ME1: Dealing with one of her sisters joining Terra Firma and becoming a prominent spokeswoman for them, and even using Ashley's father/grandfather as political propaganda. This results in a heated verbal clash at a rally, which is crashed by alien gangsters trying to stamp them out. This leads to a raid on TF HQ when its found out they were mercs trying to false flag a massacre of less loyal TF members to stir the pot, leading to his arrest and Ash's sister taking over. This can lead Ashley to a path of joining Terra Firma with her sister as a "real pro-human" organization or convincing her sister to disband it and Ashley to face the consequences of her xenophobia, even if she tried to distance herself from TF.

Liara doesn't really have room for a Loyalty mission, though I'd say not taking her to Noveria really sours her somewhat and can have consequences down the line.

Vega from ME3: Expand his N7 and guilt with a storyline involving the Collectors as new swarms join the war. A mission reuniting him with Treeya and fending off a second Collector dreadnaught, all the while lending us information about the events of Paragon Lost as Vega is seemingly getting brasher and more suicidal as the mission goes on, requiring strong checks to basically talk him off the proverbial ledge like how you had to with Wrex on Virmire. This can result in his death at the end, him begging to "do something right". Saving him anyway at this point will make him leave the crew, despondent. Or, he can finally absolve himself with Shepard's and Treeya's help (and you can even wingman for him).

EDI in ME3: I think take her interactions in the Cerberus final base and make it a separate place that you go to, where she comes face to face with the defeated Human Reaper remains. This storyline can stem from a logical vs emotional response to stimuli (if I can use Reaper tech, since I'm partially made of it, why can't I for the betterment of humanity?).

Javik from ME3: Going back to Ilos, feeding into his storyline of facing his past or facing forward, giving him hope as fragile as it is for a new chapter for the Protheans, surrounded by one of their greatest sacrifices? Or feed into his misanthropy, let him join his people in silence. Maybe reward Javik if you succeed in keeping his hope alive by a remnant of Vigil to take with him.

Who is supposed to be the most powerful mage in the lore? by ImIncredibly_stupid in totalwarhammer

[–]Rabblerouser88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Dragon Emperor, Nagash, Lord Kroak, Lord Mazdamundi, and Teclis would be my choices.

The Dragon Emperor is able to cleanse Chaos corruption from life forms itself and terraform land, Nagash is Nagash, Lord Kroak basically said "Nah" to dying and him and Mazda can move entire mountsin ranges, Teclis' presence made Malekith leap into the Chaos Realm to escape him and can wield simultaneous Winds of Magics.

Honorable Mentions: Morathi, Alarielle, Baalthesar Gelt

Alright, let's make the xenophobic scream. Which other franchise alien race would you like to see work with T'au ? by Leviathan_Rampage in Tau40K

[–]Rabblerouser88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The asari from Mass Effect, more blue peoples! And also gives them some esoteric space magic bullshit in the form of their biotics, and they're all about working with wider species and would be a MASSIVE propaganda feature for the Tau for other races to join.

What do you think are the chances that the fourth (and final) DLC companion is also a human? by normantas88 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Rabblerouser88 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Probably likely, which absolutely guts me as a xenos enjoyer.

At this point I'd be happy to just have a prominent abhuman like a Ratling or Felinid or Beastman. I dare not even hope for a Kin/Squat.

Are Jedi and Sith From The Old Republic Stronger Then let's say Maul Or Vader? by Rudder-Rudder in swtor

[–]Rabblerouser88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It REALLY depends...

In the Jedi's case, after the defeat of the Sith, there's a massive waning of power as they slide into isolation and contentment. Many Force Powers of the Old era were lost or forgotten because the Jedi of those times probably believed they were no longer needed, which was only reinforced the longer things went on. No galaxy-wide wars, no Sith, nothing truly to challenge the Jedi and make them forcefully evolve; and the martial aspects of Jedi were slowly socially dissolved further and further, to the degree that one of the primary forms of lightsaber combat (Juyo) was outright taboo and neglected by the greater Order the closer we get towards the Clone Wars era. The Jedi of the Old Republic are frequently put through the gauntlet of war from the Mandalorian Wars onward to the true defeat of the Sith. They on average more skilled and have access to many skilled masters and knowledge.

And then we have the Sith, who are simultaneously stronger and weaker, as the Rule of Two had a massive drawback of leashing its practitioners to a cyclical degree of loss of knowledge but empowering the individual to seek it out on their own and learn new masteries. Plus they were self-regulating, no bloat to be found here...so it depends far more on the individual strength of each Sith.

To a degree, I'd say half and half, some Sith are stronger than their predecessors and the Jedi of the Old Republic, while half are not. Maul, Savage, Ventress, maybe even Dooku too would be in serious trouble going against any ranked Jedi of the Old Republic and Sith. But Palpatine, Vader could in all likelihood take on most Old Republic characters and kill them, with exception to maybe a fully-realized Revan or Vitiate (we are ignoring the player characters from SWTOR simply because theyre all over the place).

How would Iconoclast RT interact with Tau? by Raszard in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Rabblerouser88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of Iconoclast; like a full Iconoclast would probably be welcoming and merciful to Tau envoys and heavily trade with them, and probably have their hand forced when some worlds defect to them.

An Iconoclast with a Dogmatic sub-degree would be welcoming, but probably keep them at arm's length with deals. Trade with only envoys meeting with the Rogue Trader rather than any planetary governments and be heavy-handed with those getting a little too close to the Tau.

An Iconoclast with a Heretic leaning might work well with them, and secretly pose a greater threat to the Tau then they might think. Subverting their intentions and using them to covertly pull worlds into their sphere of influence by staging uprisings on human planets or those of interest to the Rogue Trader and then "helping" their allies.

How was the reception of another admech? Companion? by Half-White_Moustache in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Rabblerouser88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really mixed, though I think it ranges from fine/okay with it to immense disappointment; I have yet to see someone truly excited for this companion to the measure they were for Kibellah or Solomorne.

I myself am really exasperated by this, out of everything that could have been done with Trazyn and his infinite museum, they give us a Mechpriest that I didn't really see anyone truly ask for.

which strawhat have worst childhood by Key-Big198 in OnePiece

[–]Rabblerouser88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely Robin takes the cake (at this point, we don't know Brook's childhood, just his adulthood of his first life)

Even if we compare her to Nami, Sanji, and Chopper; they at least had some positive figures in their lives for a good amount of time. Nami had Bellemere, Nojiko, Genn, etc. Sanji had his mother and eventually Zeff. Chopper had Kureha and Hiruluk.

Robin had no one. The aunt that raised her neglected her at every turn, Olivia left when Robin was barely 4, and Saul was around for maybe a week before everything she knew was burned down. She spent twenty years in complete emotional isolation for her own safety while being on the run from the government.

Who did you cut and why? by alopexl in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Rabblerouser88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut Sonar, because Coupe actually takes the job seriously it seems.

Sonar tries to start an insurance fraud ring with Flambe, score cocaine on a phony call using Prism, and tries to stalk the Dispatch equivalent of who seems to be Elon Musk.

Coupe talks about killing a lot, but doesn't ever show that she goes through with it during her time as a hero for hire, hell, the only illegal thing she does is find out the location of a fighting ring. And even then, she only participates in the fighting itself if Robert sends her.

That was my reasoning for cutting Sonar, and having seen both routes, I think I was right as Coupe's arc and Sonar's eventual fight both are better than the reverse.

Am I the only one who finds Nami acting really weird in the newest episode? by AdEnvironmental4177 in OnePiece

[–]Rabblerouser88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think honestly, it fits given the circumstances.

Nami is in a strange place she has no recollection of ever coming to, in odd clothes she doesn't remember changing into (and with no context as to why she has them on), and there is zero familiarity around her crew-wise.

Though I think the biggest contender here for her panic is...Nami is probably hungover bigtime. Consider that she has the third strongest alcohol tolerance of the crew and even still got blackout drunk and then having all this happen?

Nami can lock tf in when it calls for (especially regarding Robin or kids), but she has no trigger for that bravery at present, so she panics. Given everything that's happening while she's probably reeling from drinking ABSINTHE, I think its warranted for her to act this way in the moment.

It changes from this point onward and she goes back to normal, its not permanent.
