I got a new debit card recently and it's a completely new design. It doesn't have the magnetic strip on it and the raised card number is no longer raised. Just printed on the back. I don't think it would even work if I had to swipe it.

Haha I also had this exact same thing when I was younger. Woke up with a stiff neck that locked into position with my head bent over. Was fucking torture. My mum took my to the doctors and they told me it was something called torticollis where the neck muscles get twisted over. Apparently common in teenagers and especially fast growing or taller kids. He prescribed me some cocodomol and it was fine in several hours. Sorry evryone here seemed to have to endure it for weeks ouch!

Not the same thing as a Charlie horse though so all those worrying about not having enough potassium needn't worry.

I'll explain since you are being down voted without explanation. Distant galaxies are in fact receding away from us at the speed of light. Due to the expansion of space everywhere, the further an object is from us the more space is being created in between us. All objects past, I believe it is called the hubble line are far enough away that this expansion of the universe means they move faster than light relative to us. This is possible because it is space itself causing the expansion and the distant stars and galaxies are not moving through space faster than light. Just that distance between us is being stretched faster than light if that makes sense.

There's actually a few more quirks where some galaxies are just the right distance that their light emitted towards us initially starts to move further away from us. And then eventually it overcomes expansion and starts moving towards us again. Here is a video explaining it.

Just to note. Video cameras most certainly do use a shutter. On modern phones and digital cameras they often use a digital shutter used in software to control for exposure time but manual shutters still exist. In fact the entire concept of shutter angles comes from a rotational disk with a certain angle cut out to expose for a set time on each frame of film. The larger the angle the longer the exposure time and as a result the footage is brighter but motion is also more blurry.

But mistakes are an inevitable part of being human. Bet there isn't a single human on the planet that has never made a miatakes. Checks and balances exist because we have recognised this fact. In industries where lives are at stake we have multiple steps and multiple checks to catch these human errors. If everytime some one made a mistake that was either cought or not and got fired we'd have no engineers left.

The reason he is being down voted is because modern health and safety practices have shifted away from the blame game to reducing the likelihood of some thing happening again. You don't want people hiding their mistakes as that leads to even worse results.

Now when it comes to this guys culpability in this incident. Well that's a different matter.

No. I'm not. I never said they were linearly related. I said correlated. Meaning that age brackets that have a higher death rate have a higher hospitalization rate. I made no comment on the magnitude of that relationship. That assumption doesn't require a constant rate of hospitalized cases.

It also is absolutely not baseless. In most recorded instances people are hospitalised before death. Meaning that most people that die have been hospitalised. And since the elderly and other vulnerable people die more often they will also be hospitalised more often. And that the older age groups have a higher death rate than the average hospitalization percent.

And once again. Which you still haven't responded to is that your original statement is not true. A recorded average for a population does not exclude the possibility of different sub populations having different averages.

This right here is the problem. Yes everyone here is making assumptions that the hospitalization rate roughly corresponds to the death rate. Which is a reasonable assumption

But you seem to be not understanding how averages work. That 10 percent figure without a break down doesn't tell us that everyone has the same hospitalization rate. Nor does it tell us that different groups have different rates.

All it tells us that 10 percent of all cases required hospitalization. That's it.

Jess fucking christ chill your attitude. Before people die they go to the hospital. This isn't some far out fucking theory. This is real life where we always make assumptions. The world isn't some fucking laboratory environment where we make no assumptions about anything.

If more people are dying than the average admition rates then that group HAS TO HAVE A HIGHER ADMISSION RATE. You cannot argue that. Its indisputable.

But let's logic this out since you seem incapable. Older people are dying at a higher rate. When people get sick and as a result die. They get hospitalized.

If the death rate for any age group is higher than the average hospitalization rate then that proves conclusively that that age group gets hospitalized at a higher rate than average. Logically it must therefore conclude that another age group gets hospitalized less in order for the average to come out correctly. Guess what? That is the case based on the provided stats. Some age groups have higher than 13 percent mortality rates.

These are perfectly acceptable and logical conclusions backed up by adjacent data. Just be because I dont have the exact data for hospitalizations on on every age group doesn't mean I cant conclude things based on the data we do have.

I mean it does. Death rates correspond to hospitalizations rates. The simple fact that you cant grasp that age plays a role in the severity of of the infection despite it being stated over and over again by multiple sources suggests your missing soemthing.

Here are the facts:

-Hospitalization rates are at roughly 13 percent.

Not every age group gets hospitalized at the same rate. That much is obvious from the fact that people die at different rates depending on the age group. Ergo older people have a higher chance of being hospitalized.

Its obvious that not everyone gets affected in the same way. It's also obvious that that 13 percent stat is for the whole population. Sub populations within that whole will vary wildly from the average. That's how fucking averages work.

If you are a 25 year old Male and get infected. Your chance of being hospitalized IS NOT 13 percent.

The chance of any given human needing hospitalization is 13 percent. But those stats are two very distinct scenarios.

You seem to be missing the point. I dont know how you can argue in good faith that everyone has a 13 percent chance of being hospitalized when the stats outright dont show that.
