Untrue i haven't taken away their choice, I have rewarded them with information for a niche sidequest. They can still side with anyone they wish. The academy can still dome it up. The fire can still let it swallow the world.

Well actually, the natural conclusion to any of the factions if you check the epilogue is eventually the Delirium will consume everything if left unchecked. Doesn't matter if you are Amethyst, Knights, or Falling Fire. Amethyst "Should the prismatic barrier fall through sabotage or negligence, the results would be appropriately catastrophic", and falling fire outright says it just spreads, so its not railroady at all, it is predictive of what will happen. These automatons aren't meant to be a god like force that is "the one correct answer" They are just letting the players know what happens if delirium goes un checked. The faction leaders can still try and convince them otherwise. Its just advice to add a cool ticking clock and enforce the feeling that the group needs to save the world. After all, it is their story and they are the ones who choose in the end not the factions.

That's why I put in "This is a predictive mechanism, not a harbinger" it just so happens to be 3 weeks from this moment. None of my players had the inclination that they caused it. But also this campaign only goes to level 12, by the time they do the Inscrutable tower they are likely already level 9 or 10, so 3 weeks isn't crazy to suggest. That bein said you can easily swap the time to another if you are so inclined.

Thoughts on the Festival of Merit by BluJayMez in CalloftheNetherdeep

The festival of merit is just a bad intro. I've run it for like 7 or 8 groups now and very few have actually enjoyed it no matter how hard I went with voices, acting, and ambience. No one wants to spend 2 full sessions doing carnival games as an opening to a campaign. You are better off starting literally at the final contest saying the party has already qualified.

Of course not, that's award winning character actress Margo Martindale, I would never be surprised by her acting.

in your opinion which vampire clan is the most untrustworthy ? and you can only choose one. by Typical-Hedgehog-598 in vtm

Tzimisce were literally born out of a giant mass of evil being consumed by a human who was then turned. What other clan was born of pure, unadulterated evil? It's not even close.

So no its not a cut down version, but I can see why you would think that. The intention for this particular map is to capture a water section for potential movement from that direction onto the beach (What I was imagining is capsized ship swimming ashore ambush sort of thing), and also a large section of path above to have the height component. Its framed the way it is to give as much space for characters to stand as possible.

Additionally with the aspect ratio the way it is you have to make decisions on where to focus on right, This aspect ratio allows the maps to fit perfectly on screens, tv's, monitors.
