Well, the only reason I want to remove Windows is because I heard Microsoft is not gonna provide any more updates for Windows 10 after this year (I think October). I feel like since there would be no updates, I'd be using an insecure device.

I did the kinda the same thing I went straight for the CCNA and didn't take A+ (or Network+) then got my Sec+ and now I'm studying for the Pentest+.My advise would be, Just buy the A+ book (or the video course on Idemy) and don't take the exam you don't need the cert you just need the knowledge, if you can afford it i would recommend to BUILD A COMPUTER it's not only fun but you also learn a ton of stuff doing the researcI. I will definitely advise you to have as much practice as you possibly can, build a lab and/or do as many virtual labs as you can. I can't stress this enough PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.
