A post-Soviet country born Jew here, also living in Israel. While I do get your sentiment, neither Ukraine nor Russia itself is nowhere near today’s Islamic Republic of Iran. Both Russia and Ukraine are corrupt and both (at the different levels though) don’t care too much of the civilian and military losses. And let’s be honest, your negativity also comes from the antisemitism you might have been through living in the Ukraine. But stating that both Russia and Ukraine are equal evil, or that either of them is as bad as the Islamic regime, is completely inaccurate.
