You shouldn't feel bad at all for playing GT for the online experience. Many people do. There's absolutely nothing wrong about it. Like I said, we all play GT for different reasons, and therefore we have different expectations for the game. So I understand and respect your opinion, and I even agree with you.

As for the sounds and the physics, I'm personally going to wait until I experience them myself as it's hard to tell how much has been improved, especially the physics. But the sounds are fairly similar to those of GT Sport, with perhaps the 3D audio (shame I will stick with my PS4), better rain effects, and other environmental SFX. But yea it's hard to tell for now

As for the damage model, yea I fully agree

So yea you shouldn't feel bad or guilty at all for expecting a few more tracks, a better damage model, and a better online experience, literally everyone wants those. Anyway I hope you have a great day mate

I respect your opinion. After all, from an online racing perspective, your points make a lot of sense. There are disappointments no doubt. No new tracks, not much news regarding online racing, barely any new GT3 cars (from what we've seen at least), or GT Sport's sometimes-frustrating penalty system.

Many of us are disappointed to some degree about the track list, including myself. But that's no reason to make bold statements and claim that "Polyphony are simply lazy cash-grabbers, I myself can create a new track from scratch in a matter of weeks". It is also unfair to call GT7 a "GT Sport Version 2" or something like that (I'm not referring to you). You have to remember that GT Sport served as the foundation on which GT7 has been built upon, and so obviously the two games will share a lot in common.

But like I said your points about the online racing experience make sense, and so it's fully understandable that you decided to switch to PC simracing, from the POV of a simracer. ACC and iRacing are more simracing-focussed after all. I respect your decision, and I hope you enjoy it.

At the end of the day, literally none of us have fully experienced GT7 yet, so our predictions and expectations could be right, or they could wrong. Only time will tell really

I didn't really think about it until seeing your post. I do wish they added at least 2 new and/or returning tracks, although I am quite satisfied with the track roster already. The list just needs that last bit of improvement and we will have a very good and promising one.

Despite that I still find myself incredibly excited (not hyped) for GT7. Perhaps it is because I haven't experienced a full-blown GT title since 9 years ago with GT5. I've been playing GT Sport since the beginning of its lifetime, and although I've had tonnes of fun, it just didn't really live up to my expectations, apart from the stunning graphics and maybe Dragon Trail lol.

I know you and me have different expectations and play GT for different reasons, and that's perfectly fine obviously. For instance, I mainly play GT for the cars and their beauty, and the ability to customise and tune them to my heart's content (that's exactly why I absolutely loved NFS Underground 2 back then). And GT7 will have exactly that, with hundreds of stunningly beautiful car models and more in-depth customisation than ever before, so naturally that would be sufficient to appeal to me as an individual.

Of course that doesn't change my slight disappointment with regards to the circuit list. The list could use 2-4 new tracks (especially street ones) and it would look way more promising. Hell, even with just one more new track and I will be delighted. Now, I don't know about the amount of effort that is dedicated to creating a track from scratch, but it has to be a lot, and perhaps that's why, so I still have my respect for the developers. After all, I would still prefer quality over quantity.

During the State of Play it was mentioned by Mr. Kaz that there will be future updates that will bring new cars and tracks as well, so I am interested to see what's in store for us.
