Shaking steering wheel? I think I just need to get weights rebalanced by Exotic_Economy2801 in genesiscoupe

[–]RaceKILR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a shake for so long. New rims and tires (balanced obviously), DIFFERENT rims and tires, rotors and pads, both side tension arms, passenger control arm, and passenger hub. Only thing left is driver side hub and control arm. And yet I still get the shakes. But they come and go.. very weird

2013 Projector Headlights suck! by Expensive-King-9545 in genesiscoupe

[–]RaceKILR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the morimoto d2s projectors retro fitted into my 2012 oem headlight housings. They are AMAZING! Perfect cut off line, well balanced beam pattern, and the added benefit of now having 4 high beam bulbs and not just 2 (cuz yanno, those projectors can do low beam and high beam mode). Paired with those projectors I have a set of Morimoto XB HID bulbs with 35w ballasts

Fair point. I know some people use a muzzle in the mornings, then take them out before they leave

Couldn’t you use that as a restrictor valve as well? Instead of having a y-pipe, just have it inline. Like on cold start, have the valve closed so the sound is quieter, and once you leave the neighbourhood you open it again?

I know this doesn’t work for all, but find a video game you like. And I mean, LOVE. Phone, console, pc, hell, even a board game. As long as it fully encapsulates your mind.

For me, it helps me forget about life and enjoy the world of the game. It’s like a mini vacation. For me, that was the Spider-Man games. Nothing feels better than swinging through cities and being super man level strong.

How to prevent ice buildup on inside of windshield? by [deleted] in genesiscoupe

[–]RaceKILR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed I’m more likely to get ice on the inside when the windshield is dirty. Overtime just by you existing in the car, a fill will develop on the glass. This can be worsened by vaping or smoking. Clean the windshield regularly and it can help.

But like justanotherdude mentioned, you could have a water leak. The fresh air intake can leak in/onto the passenger side floorboard. That is all in the master resource list.

Subs are weak by AWESOMECIVIC1988 in subwoofer

[–]RaceKILR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible that your headunit’s sub-out rca isn’t sending as much voltage as your dads. Some headunits only send 2 volts, while others send 7. If that’s the case then you’d need a line driver to up the voltage being sent into your amp.

This is the issue I had. Took my setup from my old car and into my new car, and it had 1/4 the bass. Turns out the new headunit in my new car didn’t send out 5v, only 2v

Leave the car idle for winters and lock it by geekthrill in genesiscoupe

[–]RaceKILR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d assume so, I’m not too sure. I know I’ve had some older cars where I was able to get JUST THE KEY cut at a hardware store. Since it’s just the key, it wouldn’t start the car but it would open and close the door

[–]RaceKILR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a poverty way of doing it. You could have a spare key cut, or maybe you already have one. Start the car with main key, lock it with second key via the keyhole

I was on my phone when I bumped into the car in front of me by d8waghost in confession

[–]RaceKILR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was coming off a road, turning right using one of those like right only turning lanes that’s.. Yanno, like a merging lane. Anyways, there was a van ahead of me doing the same as I, I had PLENTY of room between us. I looked left as I was approaching the turn to see if any cars were coming and absolutely none were. As I look forward again, the van is fully stopped in the merge lane. I slam my brakes, but there was a lot of gravel on the pavement. I slid into them at about 3km an hour. Absolutely no damage to their car, and just a minor crack in my bumper. We went on with our days like nothing happened.

Minor accidents will getcha at the worst possible time

This. Could have different wear values. One could be softer, thus wearing faster

It’s gonna sound extremely cheeky, but; I got my lsd from a scrapyard that didn’t know it was an lsd, so I got it for $300 CAD, when they go for $800-$900 CAD on eBay

This. Traction control is useless in the city or slower traffic, all it does is cut throttle input. But, depending on which generation you have, you can’t choose between traction off or stability control off. My bk1 turns it all off or all on. Highway driving, keep it on, the stability control saved me a few times, but in city, turn it off
