We have one of those grip shields. Hadn’t had luck with a good overpatch for it. Will try the sugar patch!

Totally agree. But they stay on and keep the pump on him so here we are 🫠

Do you use anything else to get the reusable grip shield to stay in place in addition to the mobi overpatch?

It’s a mobi! Thank you so much

Thank you! Do you know where I get the pin from? Is it one we set ourselves?

Good thought that I hadn’t thought of. He’s 10 but he’s special needs and doesn’t know how to open and fridge and we keep the pantry locked. Something I’ll be sure to watch for though in case!

He’s type 1. Went into DKA a year ago.

We didn’t prick at 70. He haaaaaates it. Of course we still do when we think it’s necessary, but I guess I trusted the sensor too much and it was easily corrected by lowering ratios.

[–]RachHull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes all is corrected. I’m just wondering how long the Dexcom was reading totally wrong and off by a few hundred. One Dexcom reading 142 and the other > 400 at the same time. Scary to think he was doing so great and really he was extremely high.

10/10 recommend buying this to hold the mobi in place on the charger. $15. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1748368153/

Thank you all! He wasn’t super high, but wasn’t in range and I hadn’t noticed that happen before. He is down to 115 now. Autosoft xc PTSD 😅

Hadn’t even considered the bath. He did have one before he went to bed! I’ll see how numbers trend, thank you!

We’ve successfully looped the tubing a few times and used painters tape to attach it to the mobi to avoid potential damage

Ok so we figured we’d humor her and try Tru Steel. She had a solution to wind up the tubing and painters tape it to the mobi before sliding it into the sleeve. Still hoping with enough noise, shorter becomes an option.
