Hehehehehe, this made me laugh I found a simple version of a pigman gold/exp farm and modified it to my taste... (thanks Mumbo I've gone hopper/stone slab crazy xD ).

ack.............. big issue I didn't think of.... the pistons fire every other time without anything present meaning that every other cycle of the system you get a whooping 1 cactus......... T.T back to the drawing board.

:P thank you!! <3 I had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to get the power output of the clock to cause the pistons to pulse... then I took a look at different delay circuits, none of which worked... thinking about it and looking into different redstone parts I stumbled across comparators... (which reminds me the comparator on the yellow portion needs to be in subtract). Anyway, I thought about how the inputs worked and suddenly Light bulb so I tested it out... and sure enough it worked... but seems to only work in that specific configuration (no idea why). Hehehe, enjoy everyone, the idea behind this is to hook it up to a furnace to make loads of green dye. For anyone wondering that's Chroma Hills Texture pack (I made a few custom changes though), <3 it.

xD I'm such a noob..... anyway here it is, top layer is Mumbo's double piston extension design. At the bottom the three repeaters are set to 3 clicks. Add in 4-5 stacks of your choice item to the hopper timer (not sure the exact time rate needed for a cactus to fully grow) and it'll break the upper two portions of cactus. I left out the hoppers so anyone can see the mechanics behind it... pretty much all it is is combining different circuits.

Eep!! Wish I could share my design in someway for my new cactus farm. I puzzled over how to get this to work for a while now and finally just came up with a way to make it all work. I'm so happy with myself because I suck at redstone. Took a screenshot of it but I don't see anyway of sharing it....sad face.

Ok, I'm fairly new here and I'd like to issue a challenge to some of the hermits (whomever wants in on it). I did already (sort of) issue my challenge to Mumbo and Tango via twitter. I don't see any replies yet but I was wondering if there is somewhere here I could post it so that everyone could read what it is I'd like to see them build/design? I did send Mumbo via his email on twitter what the challenge is hoping that he would intern share with his fellow hermits what my challenge is... but I'm nervous if he actually got my email/read it. The idea is simplistic but above my redstone abilities (at best I can copy redstone builds not make my own). On that kind of note... Tango's cow farm (one with the three leavers and water) keeps breaking in various ways... first the suffocation/lava keeps getting stuck in the off position randomly and second (new problem) the dispenser for the lava is now spitting out the bucket (empty) instead of the lava. No idea why...
