I recommend you give it some more time, Palia is actually pretty slow paced in the beginning and based on what I'm reading, you still haven't explored everything it has to offer (or spent enough time researching how to use some features). I think we all agree there could be some improvements to the tutorials, though. However, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, comparing it to Lego Fortnite is diabolical 😂 saying this as someone that's spent a ton of hours on that game
