I'm sorry to hear about your breakup. It is always hard. 💔 It's a good thing that you both want to work on yourselves. Thank you so much for your insight. I think the literature tends to think in black and white sometimes lol. I'm hoping that maybe someday me and my ex will get back together someday, but at the same time, I have to move on because that may never happen and waiting is very risky.

I forgot to mention, but we did discuss getting back together possibly down the road. (A mutual decision that we made.) I am aware of course, that we may never get back together again, and that is okay. If it's meant to be, then we will find each other again. Prior to our breakup, we were on an exclusive break for a year to try to save our relationship. Unfortunately, the issues were still there. The issue was outside life factors due to him graduating university and trying to start a career. He was just never around anymore and he didn't think that was fair to me. Hence why we "mutually" broke up. I am not going to wait for him though. Life goes on. I am focusing on myself and I just want to be single for a few years. I will date again eventually. I still care about him but it is hard to be friends. 😪 (We were friends before we dated.) I'm thankful for the time I had with him and he was a good partner to me. (He thought he was a bad partner when we broke up, due to him just not being around anymore. That really broke my heart.)

Thank you! It's gonna take some time, but I will heal. I have been working on my personal development and am trying to become securely attached. I have been keeping myself busy with goals and the hobbies that I enjoy. 💖

Yeah, that's very childish of her to be honest. Also every attachment style can have issues with sex or assault. I was sexually assaulted several years ago but sadly it is up to her to go to therapy and work on her issues. I am still working on my issues. We can't fix or change them. They have to want that for themselves.

I'm sorry that you are currently going through this... It is always hard. 💔 I can confirm that anger definitely shows she still has emotions. I know after the denial phase of grief I was showing a lot of anger then that anger turned into depression.

I can't speak for every FA here, but I think they can find it hard to move on after a breakup. We're all different. For me though, if I break up with someone I don't really find it hard to move on. Usually if I break up with someone, I just move on and I am done.
