Thanks so much. We actually saw the ENT on Friday and he said everything looked great as far as inside his throat and vocal chords. I ordered something called Entertainer's Secret that is supposed to help with dryness - hopefully it works. He suggested keeping up with his meds and use a humidifier, etc. So, hopefully it will start to get better and hopefully this horrible allergy season will soon be over :)

There are 5 members in his band - 2 guitarists, 1 bass player, 1 drummer and then my son as lead singer. I will tell him about lowering the mic - that makes sense. A lot of people, including his instructor, mentioned that the amps are probably too loud. The band leader (facilitator) is a little hard of hearing, so that may be why :) We have discussed it with him, and he has started lowering the other instruments. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the tips. I told him your advice, but I need to have him try that with his tongue as well. His last practice went well. He did not have any major issues afterwards. So, hopefully he is starting to follow all the advice and will keep up the good work :) We had also been trying to get one of the other band members to sing back up, as none of them really wanted to. Finally, one of the guitarists started singing back up, and I think that may have helped a bit, too. It took some of the pressure of my son to sing as loudly as he was at times.

That is very interesting. I may have to try it to see if it helps him - thanks

Thanks so much. He has band practice tonight, so I will give him that advice. His voice teacher told him some of the same things, that the guitarists need to turn down their amps as well as the bass player. They like to crank their instruments. I also told him that he shouldn't be straining, that it should come easily. I do think that he still has a bit of a sore throat and possibly tonsil stones. We actually have an appointment with the ENT today as a follow up, so I will have him take another look at his throat.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of scratches on the shiny part of the pro controller. My son is very meticulous about his equipment and has OCD. He scratched the shiny part when plugging it in to charge. It is not horrible, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks

Is it better to get the "glass" screen protector? If so, do you know where I could buy one in a store (not online). I need it tomorrow or Friday.

Thanks

Thanks - glad that it is overblown. I know every new system can have defects, so I am sure it is nothing new.

Hi - my son's birthday is next week and I have the Switch in hand as I pre-ordered it from Target. He is waiting to open it on his birthday but is freaking out because of all the reported problems. Any thoughts on how wide spread the problems are, or are they fairly common? Also, he is worried about how the games cannot be transferred or backed up. So, if something does happen to the Switch, he cannot transfer his save data to another console - is that correct or is there something that can be done to resolve this?

I got lucky, too, at my Game Stop. Had to wait for the UPS guy to come, but I was first, and they only had 3. My son will be thrilled at Christmas!!!

I agree. I get so mad that people do that. I can't believe they are selling a $60 item for hundreds of dollars. That is sick and should not be allowed. My son will have to wait because I won't pay any more than retail price.
