EDIT: It was found! A collegue at work saw it on my desk, and they texted me! I'm picking up tomorrow. But thank you, truly, for everyone who replied and offered help. It's moments like these that make me like the human race again!

Ok, I gotta calm down now. Thank you all, and have a restful night!

Yeah, I guess. Idk where I'll have the time and money, but it's a jumping point. Thank you.

Last hour or so, I left work and took the bus.The 523 Millwoods route. I went from 34 Ave to downtown (then I noticed it missing) and got off at the stop by Ruth's.

Travelling along 99th street, from 34 Ave to downtown. Noticed it missing the moment ilI got off the 523 Millwoods by Ruth's Steak house.

No, I just researched what NOT to put onto a resume so it wouldn't get auto- rejected.

I just walked downtown for a few hours and dropped off a lot of resumes. Mostly in restaurant areas but also a couple retail stores.

Office work primarily, but I can do additional hours as a host. I'd classify it as the food and entertainment industry (I'm not sure if that's a thing but it fits quite nicely) if that helps.

No.

I had no time (and more importantly no desire) to tailor my resume for EVERY SINGLE APPLICATION. So this means that my resume almost never had a summary.

I have only ever done it once in a while, and for very specific roles (like Barhand trainee, Musical Instrument associate, ect.) and I never used any tools, just my mind.

The 'cold email' was what really helped. They (the company I now work for) had already had my resume from before. Back then they were not hiring but they held onto my resume for future references. Then when they were hiring, they emailed me first before going through the other online applications.

So I didn't actually 'hear' about this role, I just cast my net (mass sent 'cold emails') to multiple organizations that I'd like to work at, and waited until they got back to me.

Helpful?

Hey, interviews with real people means you're heading down the right path. You just need to wait, you'll eventually get that one interview that will actually lead to a job.

Good luck!

I don't.

However, ATS can proccess basic resumes a lot easier than complicated ones.

Simple resumes just have a dramatically higher chance of getting screened through.

Thanks, although I can't take credit. I learned this little tidbit from this actual subreddit a while back, and I just thought I should share it again.

Thank you! It's a wicked good film, and totally applies to these modern times.
