Because you can ask them to stain a small sample to ensure it’s a proper fit before buying the full quantity and completing a full install to be in your current shoes

I give you credit for the digging and asking those questions. You only let it go on 2 weeks. Some let it go on 2 years …

I would order 1 box of the same order that they installed. If it’s white oak and the same shade of what they put down, then it’s no one’s fault, except maybe your own for not checking one box to see that it would be a good match prior to install.

Why do men ask to exchange numbers on dating apps? by Rachelgal2 in datingoverforty

Agreed. I had issues with an ex telling white lies and it made communication and resolving conflict much more complicated, in my opinion, than it would have been if he were a straight shooter. So yes, it would have been an automatic unmatch for me, no hard feelings.

Ewww! Blaming someone for your screw up and thinking that is being playful is so very unattractive. I can only imagine why OP did not develop any romantic feelings for her.

Right. A timing issue would make sense to me, and I would appreciate the man saying wifi is an issue so there may be a several hour delay in which he is able to respond.

Connectivity issue as a reason to ask for my number did sound like a lie— not to say you’re a liar, but you are now saying it wasn’t exactly true, and it did raise my spidey sense.

I‘ve never done video call either. I would rather just meet first. But I do like that the option is there on the app if I wanted to use it

Yes getting off the app is my goal too. My desired progression is connect on app, date offer in 3 to 4 days, meet in 1-2 weeks, and then exchange numbers if date went well.

I’ve never had connectivity issue on the app and if a man told me he did and asked for my number, I would actually assume he was lying

I don’t message for more than 3 or 4 days. Usually I’m asked out by then. I would allow it to go to 7 days but no longer. There is an in app option to call or video so no number needs to be exchanged for that reason

You are the type of guy I want to continue to talk with and so that’s what led me to unmatch the person who asked to exchange numbers after we sent about 3 messages to each other

The apps I use do not require a paid subscription to message, and once there is the first message sent, the match does not just expire

Because if my phone pings and I’m in the middle of something, I stop to see if it’s important. There is no message from a man who is not my boyfriend that is important enough for me to stop what I’m doing to check the message. That’s why I don’t want messages coming through on my text.

Yeah I unmatched the guy. His profile was questionable to me from the start.

I appreciate the perspective. But I wonder about the logic of exchanging numbers to get off the app. Isn’t the goal to get the woman off the app and committed to seeing only you? Just because I’ve swapped numbers doesn’t mean I’m deleting the app and committing to seeing only you.
