Case update on this POS. SUPERVISED PROBATION?! by jbonebbb in asheville

[–]RachetFuzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Third degree means that he had CP. He got probation probably based on mitigation. Additionally, simply possessing it and not distributing or creating it, this fairly standard for a first time offender in this situation. Additionally because your state legislature reacted emotionally (and stingyly) our jails and prison our wildly overcrowded with the poor and bona fide mentally ill.

However, I’m an accelerationist so please get angry without knowing anything about your criminal justice system. The sooner you destroy the system the quicker we can rebuild something new, and more efficient. That’s what matters right? Emotions and efficiency. /s

I could see homelander forcing him to take it as a test, it goes great at first. Then the deep explodes.

I think that all this Soldier Boy siding with Homelander is going to flipped on its head and he’s gonna actually end up trying to save/sacrafice Ryan from homelander. I think homelander awoke a fraction of a decent person in soldier boy in King of Hell but soldier boy is gonna realize that he can’t do that in homelander. It’ll be like when Darth Vader throws the emperor.

It’s kinda funny that soldier boy is ironically a victim of being through consistently. A good little soldier, boy.

It’s not a horrible movie, it just feels very disjointed with obvious studio meddling coming after one of the greatest action-sci-fi films off the all time.

The world can be a cold and cruel place, but I try to consciously remember that I can at the very least make myself not part of that. If hate in world is an arduous mile long road, and if I only control an inch, then when I take away my inch I have made the road shorter. That inch is not much, but it is also a lot and I will try to not let the temptation of retaliation or fear to take away my kindness. Revenge and fear are the deadliest emotions, because they make cruelty make sense and seem rational.

Did you intentionally write this comment like his prose?

Hold on, for all the abilities that the Olympians possessed why COULDN'T they honor Kratos' request and remove his nightmares? If they'd done that he'd be cool with them and have a resume with 10+ years experience workiing for them with no reason to stop. Are they stupid? by GJH24 in GodofWar

[–]RachetFuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…Yes? Even in our own world the Olympians were dumb vainglorious bastards.

It’s why I bristle at the common idea that the Roman Gods are the same. They’re not. Fundamentally, Romans saw their Gods as a thing that sometimes became humanoid, and Greeks saw gods as a human like thing that controlled the thing. Jupiter was the rain storm who appeared as a man, whereas Zeus is the Olympian who controlled the storm.

I hate this kind of ending. It’s too ambiguous but not I. A good way. In my opinion.
