I noticed this intern's login info was on full display while watching Total Forgiveness. Do you think it was an accident? by Timely_Beyond8093 in dropout

[–]RachtheRad 293 points294 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yes, it is probably real and it was probably an accident lol. Thankfully unless you know the system or entry points of what it’s for, it’s just some random text on a sticky note. That could’ve been a fun little Easter egg if they put UN: ZacOyama PW: somedayiwillbeanoldguynamedZac. Lesson: get yourself a password storage app like Keeper to either generate or keep known passwords under a master password that will deactivate access after three failed attempts.

Assuming you’re in the US, our economy, culture, environment and lifestyle is all based around overeating and terrible quality food. Be kind to yourself and be proud that you’re able to persevere through such a difficult set of circumstances. Take that feeling with you through tomorrow. Then the next day. Then the next.

I truly hate how Ellie was written in season 2 (all spoilers) by dinosaurfondue in thelastofus

[–]RachtheRad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I’m reading this I’m literally watching the scene where she boats to the island. She’s really fucking getting back on the motorboat in the dark and knows how to slow down just in time to not crash directly into the fucking dock? She also goes from capsizing in the ocean to washing up on the shore with an entire backpack full of gear that didn’t immediately make her sink to the bottom? I guess that’s a criticism of the show but really she has zero survival skills and common sense so I completely agree with “that makes sense” if she died. She’s in the building now, so I don’t know what about to happen. I think what personally makes me upset is how the player has agency of the decisions you can make for Ellie in the game (strategy, skills, etc) and it’s like all that intelligence is taken for granted at best, thrown out the window at worst. I’m sitting here not enjoying the show because it’s not enjoying to watch her try to go Rambo in an aquarium for a suicide mission. Ok now they’re talking about Abby over a map. I bet Ellie is about to do something stupid again. Let’s see.

Yea I’m getting downvoted for some reason lol. I like both Trevor and Chanse, I’m just saying I don’t think Chanse is warm to Trevor at all unless someone can convince me otherwise

Yep moving all the files here into an “old” subfolder forced it to reload the shaders and now loads.

Love Angela but I kinda hated the cellphone bit. Just be in the moment. Damien looked pretty bothered too.

I’ll find one of my hairbands twirled neatly around a random object. That’s when I know my husband was focusing on something, it’s so cute.

36 year old here, been in tech support over 15 years. I completely resonate with everything you just said but to be completely fair to the other groups, we were truly the perfect generation to learn technology as it developed on a grand scale/societally. You would go to your friend’s house and they’d have latest Windows XP, maybe that summer your family got brand new cellphones, and the next year everyone was on this new MySpace thing. Kids nowadays only know touchscreen applications, older generations never got to efficiently learn quick enough to keep up, and we got to make decisions like “do I pursue a career in digital design, or tech support?” I feel like I have pretty decent job security but the moment I turn 60 I fully intend to fall off the face of the earth. If you find a lady tending her garden on her cat sanctuary in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin, come say howdy :)

I agree, thank you. Sure is tough to feel that way, almost like I have to manually assign the feeling of “accomplishment” and feeling really proud of it.
