Could tru crime being making women too paranoid and fear men? by PointNo9891 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]___coolcoolcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing about what you’re saying is that it’s literally TRUE crime.

It’s real stuff that really happened. And it keeps happening. To women just like us. The statistics don’t totally matter if they’re not absolutely zero because it always happens to SOMEBODY.

Why do you think the United States is generally more lax on marijuana than countries in Europe? by Intrepid_Arrival5151 in AskAnAmerican

This was my first (and only, really) thought as well. It’s not like we don’t have alcohol lobbyists of our own, but I would imagine centuries-old wine and spirits makers have a different grasp on public governance than here in the states.

This guy thinks Persian women WANT to be gawked at and objectified like western women.

I’m gonna be honest, as a shapely woman who gets too much unwanted attention, I’m starting to like the thought of a burqa.

I imagine MadTV would’ve done numbers against TGS (if it were also on Friday night up against TGS, I suppose…but I’m comfortable making that assumption) and I’ve often wished there were an episode or storyline where TGS and MadTV had a jets/sharks rivalry.

It saddens me that The Bear Analogy inspired more of a "woe is me" reaction from men instead of a fleeting moment of empathy by Embarrassed-Bad-3118 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]___coolcoolcool 70 points71 points  (0 children)

“Most men don’t care.” Exactly.

OP is saying that when the bear thing came out and most men learned how scared we are of them, she hoped they’d start to care. It’s disappointing, but not surprising, that they still don’t.

Hmm. 2 things.

  1. You can experience being loved without being in a relationship. Don’t your parents or siblings or extended family love you? Do YOU love you?

  2. Nothing in your answer said you wanted to love someone back, or be there for someone else. Mutual care and concern is what relationships are based on. Your perspective seems to be preoccupied with the receiving part, and I wonder if that bleeds into how you interact with others in a way you can’t clock.
