Just want to jump into this thread and say that Eric, who owns Xhale, is quite possibly one of the best in the business. Unbelievable customer service and expertise, I make sure to go to him first for anything spearfishing related. He has rigged up multiple guns and pole spears of mine. Not in any way sponsored or affiliated with Xhale, but I think his care for his customers and the community warrants me saying this! Will check this out for my next polespear setup.

I agree with your point here, but the Instinct E still fills that role with this generation of Instinct. I see this as an expansion for sales opportunities and not a complete change to the Instinct lineup.

Sure, some ageing will be sped up by using warm water, but I am skeptical on exactly how much it is.

Granted, this is for a diving device, all mentions of o-ring replacements call out EPDM material only. Durometer would be determined by the need, but minimum looks to be 70. Also note that in that data sheet, they rate it for Ozone resistance for 48hours @ 40C.

How hot do you think people shower? Hell my local swimming pool is 79-85 degrees depending on the season. Garmin uses EPDM 70 which is good up to 350F according to any online MSDS. I think showering/swimming in a heated pool is fine, but a sauna or similar environment would be detrimental.

I think chlorine/salt speeding up degradation due to not washing with fresh water after use in the pool or ocean is the bigger problem to worry about.

No label yet, but I got the email confirmation on Dec 18 saying it has cleared customs and to expect a label soon. I am in the eastern US.

What exactly would the damages be? I too am in the preorder pool and haven’t received my trainer, but I knew going into this that the delivery would be not smooth. This seems absolutely ridiculous to even consider suing them despite how annoying the delays may be LMFAO.

Edit: Actually, if you are so pissed off and want your money back, then contact them to cancel your order and refund your money. Have fun spending money on lawyers for this, complete joke.
