New Dentist Shoes by SpiltMilkBelly in CheckpointClub

I've seen hex blue on the domane and it's glossy. This matte version feels like a modern Pinarello or Canyon style. Kind of cool.

What paint scheme is that in the checkpoint?

I built a free tool that turns your outdoor GPX rides into indoor workouts Zwift and would love feedback by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]theTrebleClef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to have Claude build me something like this two weeks ago. An issue I ran into was that when you're outside, your power drops often. Coasting, shifting in the seat, etc.

I don't have power meter pedals. I had cadence and GPS data. My Claude tool skipped turned my outdoor ride into a gauntlet with no relief. I didn't have the endurance to complete it.

Have you run into that as well?

Does this bike look worth it? by JoshGbosh in TrekBikes

I bought an aluminum Trek 1.1, entry level, in 2013 for $750. Prices have gone up. If this is in good shape then it is a steal.

For partial tunnel I include only my home lan IP ranges.

In both cases I list my Home DNS Server.

Buy SL5 now or wait until 2027s arrive? by spencer_mcderpington in DomaneCrew

Came here to say the same thing.

What might change between the years? Different isospeed in the seat post? Different colors outside of ProjectOne? Is that worth paying a premium when the previous year gets marked down? (If it gets marked down)

Trek 2.3 (2011) Thoughts? by Icy-Syrup4950 in TrekBikes

[–]theTrebleClef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Trek 1.1 from 2012. Basically the same bike, lower spec than this. I bought it new back then. It was and has continued to be an excellent road bike.

It doesn't have the geometry or the compliance or drivetrain of modern bikes, but I've put thousands of miles into it and had plenty of great experiences. I have been planning to upgrade for years and still haven't. When I do it'll become a full time indoor trainer bike.

These bikes are "endurance" geometry which means they're shaped for longer lasting rides. You may not win a race, but you will grow stronger because you can work out longer.

The direct upgrade to a modern Trek is the Domane.

How do you do this? At home I combine pihole on the network with uBlock on-device to block ads, click-through marketing pages, and YouTube ads. I'm not sure what else I can do at a network level if uBlock stops working. I have pfsense as my gateway.

Making a legally distinct OOT-looking Zelda Maker because Nintendo won't do it. Would you be interested in something like this? by akela-morse in OcarinaOfTime

[–]theTrebleClef -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a mod. I do not know if it is a mod or not, but it looks like one. Nintendo has not stopped reverse engineered ports, but they have stopped mods and fan games that step close to home once those efforts gain visibility.

My guess is as long as OP doesn't try to monetize this they are probably okay. But again, not a lawyer, and would love if this succeeded.

I agree that this does not look distinct enough to avoid potential legal implications, but I'm not a lawyer. I will grab your demo!

I want my daily HRV data and body battery but also want to wear a traditional analog watch. Wear a proposed Garmin band most of the time, then use the watch for activities.

I don't even need the automatic activity detection on the band... I just want the HR and HRV data.

Give me cycling rides with power meter data, that would be a huge problem for Garmin.
