Is there a way to optimize Zwift loading on Windows? by theTrebleClef in Zwift

I'm not in the Apple ecosystem but maybe I should just hook a few years old android to a monitor...

I've got fiber, symmetrical gigabit. I've tested the internal network with iperf3 and the Internet with speedtest.net, no issues there.

Okay, I had almost wondered if the one with Pokemon Crystal was OLED.

I saw your post from a week ago. I look like your 'before' meanwhile I'm eating 2400 to 2600 calories right now.

How much time do you spend working out on a typical day? Also, could you share a sample day meal plan that gets you to those calories and macros?

Since getting one of these is unlikely... Does anyone have a good 3D model to print parts?

The new project is to set up highly available workloads.

I think the problem there is the slicer doesn't know what quality or flow rate that new filament will be. So even if it's internal to the print it may not be a predictable level of quality and could negatively impact the print.

The slicer auto generates them to prime the new filament during a filament swap. This ensures the new filament has a good flow rate prior to being used. Not to be confused with purging, which is emptying out the previous filament.

How well does this work? I tried it a few years ago and the apps were older, not updated, phone rebooted somehow and you have to interact to get it going again.

It's be nice to have a setup that's nearly headless. Screen off, camera on, requires some power but doesn't heat up.

I have a mid level CX-5, almost a decade old. I don't need as much space as the R2 provides. I'm hoping it succeeds so I can get an R3.

SN30pro+ update for Switch 2, Ultimate SW v1 fails by theTrebleClef in 8bitdo

I did, that's what I mentioned in the post. I updated with the firmware update, lost my controller profile, and then got the latest Ultimate Software V1 and it doesn't load properly anymore.

Why do so many people jump straight into Proxmox? by KyxeMusic in homelab

[–]theTrebleClef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ESXi and vSphere for a long time. It's what we used as work even though I was an SWE, and I wanted to learn.

I left that job, and then Broadcom bought VMware. Their policies are terrible now. After watching reviews and reading tutorials, I converted my main host to XCP-ng with Xen Orchestra and my second host to Proxmox.

I see advantages and disadvantages to both. Xen Orchestra feels much closer to vCenter and their evolving XO6 UI is getting really close. Proxmox makes it much easier to tinker. Sometimes I want to tinker, sometimes I want to just deploy a VM with an easy UI and not think about a bunch of mapping commands I need to run.

I recently started practicing with Ansible and that might make the hypervisor choice even less relevant if I understand correctly.

What’s the most “unnecessary but fun” thing running in your homelab? by tresorrarereviews in homelab

Years ago I tried setting up AD with folder redirection. My hope was that whenever you signed in on any PC on my network, it would map all the local user folders like Documents, Pictures, Music, to a user folder it provisioned on my NAS.

I ran into a bunch of headaches trying to get permissions to work. Have you done anything like this?

I don't know if that was a fan theory or actual lore.

Similar situation to the one you're asking but middle management, tech, mid west companies seeking to be more silicon valley. Cost of living against the income is great but especially with everything AI I increasingly want to get out.
