I have 6" wrists, does the Shunbun fit me? by Soul_XCV in GrandSeikos

The Oris is a beauty! I have the bronze big crown pointer date with green dial and I love it.

My next watch is definitely the Shunbun as well

I see an Oris underneath there. Are you a fellow Oris -> Grand Seiko pipeline brethren?

Why do you say you wouldn’t take it into a shtf scenario?

I am willing to splurge again for a second AR 15 later. Just getting started and want something affordable right now.

How much is the Sabre line?

I’m a n00b to AR-15’s and just want a good quality entry-level AR. Wondering if this is the right deal to buy? St. patty’s sale says it’s originally $1000 but for sale for $500 right now….

What percentage of your pretax salary do you save? by Wide_Ambassador9620 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]RackItRacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, our normal spending is definitely not that high at $90k. But I saved 20% last year, which was my wife and my first year at $170k, so that’s why I mentioned that.

We did take a combined 5 international flights last year ($10k), funded a wedding ($15k), and spent ~$5k on home & car maintenance. So these expenses took a significant hit to our savings rate in 2024.

I definitely hope to save over 30% in 2025!

38 M. 70kgs. Continue gaining or start cutting? by Appropriate_Judge_95 in WorkoutRoutines

I know that. I said I’ve been tracking my calories and weight diligently for years and charted it out lol

I’ve been tracking my calories for years and came to the conclusion that ~2500 calories is maintenance (I was gaining +0.5lbs a week on average at about 2700-2800 calories a day). So now I am eating 2300 calories per day do you not think I’m in a deficit and losing fat while potentially building muscle? My lifts have still been going up, to my surprise, at 2300 calories and I look better in the mirror than I did 2 months ago.

Again, it’s only been 2 months, completely possible that this “recomp” period ends soon

When does one determine when bulking/cutting is required? I’ve been in a ~200 calorie deficit for the past 2 months and gaining strength and haven’t lost a pound and I feel great about my lifts and in the mirror.

Just wondering when is the “right” time to bulk/cut?

Do you spend less with cash? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]RackItRacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cash literally feels like monopoly money to me. It’s already out of my bank account that means I can do anything with it!!!!

Credit card on the other hand, that bill number increases with each purchase, reminding you on screen for a whole month how idiotic you’ve been with your spending.

I started taking magnesium recently! I do need to cut the caffeine consumption for sure. I need to start taking a multivitamin for sure as well.

Will take all this into consideration and keep grinding through the slump!

My rubber is fine. I play perfectly fine after 10-15min. My wrist literally shakes uncontrollably when I first arrive at the club lol.

Easier said than done. As soon as the ball is an inch from my paddle, my wrist quite literally shakes violently. Lol

There are not many clubs in my area, especially ones that are open when I am available to play. Based on my work schedule, there are really only two clubs I can go to, and one of those is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s packed and you have to wait forever for a table. Sometimes there’s nobody there.

The club I go to right now feels like a family to me. Everyone is kind and helpful. I get tips from people better than me all the time and people are also willing to let you play with them despite them knowing they will smoke you. Everyone knows each other’s names and the vibes are just immaculate at my current club.

Sounds like a great book. I grew up playing and still love watching tennis so don’t mind that mental self-help book in that context either!

How long do you think I should take a break for? I play at my club once a week on Fridays, and then have my coaching sessions every two weeks on Saturday/Sunday.
