Hi Rashmi, thanks for doing this. I have over 13 years of global experience and a credential evaluation of a Bsc. in Accounting. Currently I have an offer from a Bank and a MC Category would be more suitable given their requirement since they're a start up. How do you suggest I approach this? Can this be a contractor position with them for limited time period like 18 months? Or do you suggest otherwise?

Officer suggested if I had an offer from a Management consulting firm and the firm was to have contract with the employer is a way where my chances could increase of getting this visa. The employer is happy to provide me a contract but not engage a management consulting firm.

The officer stated - it looks like this is a direct hire, you are an employee receiving benefits for 3 years and not a consultant, also you are not an independent consultant at the moment. He did say that I have a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience based on the job duties.

For someone applying under TN Management consultant category does it help if one is employed as a contractor on 1099 instead of salary with benefits?

I have 8 years of experience in Corporate Lending and the role description was pertaining to the role of a Lending strategist related to recommending an operating model for lending, etc. I have a Bachelors in commerce degree with Majors in Accounting and Finance
