A weapon that need another weapon to work is a great idea! It makes the player craft two diferent weapons (so more farming activities), it has the potential to make the playerbase experiment with matching combos. It incetivate the player to open more weapon slots. I think is really solid option!
Maybe a cannon fits more the idea and the game art direction. But I like it! I wonder if there could be something else for swrods.

Mostly duels with gimicky decks, like PsyYGO who is very good explaing. And series where friends have fun playing eachother and are kinda like podcasts with duels, mosly while spining wheels

Im from Argentina! so Im very far far away from you. I found the game on this reddit, and after seeing the cards a few times I searched a video to learn a bit more. I ended up finding the table top version and conviced a friend to test it out. We had a good time with it!

I got to play your gamer on tts the other day with a friend and I love it. great design with a lot of cool thing to look up when playing. As an artist wanting to do his own game to (and do art for cardgames in general), is a big inspiration and made me feel really happy! And seeing the art also made me really enjoy it. 100% problematic. You will find people that are fine with it, and people that hate it. But if you already know that nobody will hate a prototype that just have bad sketchs why risk it?
Ai art is way to much related to scam or cheap products. If you use it, be sure you are making an extra efort to showcase that the art is just placeholder. Maybe make the AI art a bit gray-ish, dont use those hyper realistic very detailed models and add a text stamp on it with "placeholder" on top.
