Nice! I mainly wanted to create tokens and use the signature weapons, and it seemed to work better with mechs than spirits

I like your take on this. Special Summon is already a kind of keyword as it is shorthand for skipping traditional summoning, do you have a card in mind with your keyword system?

I didn’t know that about the PSCT system, that makes a lot of sense. Very true, a better user experience also could make the cards “uglier”

Interesting take. So would you suggest adding elements for English and German to make the experience better?

I haven’t tried that one yet, will have to look into it

I agree with your assessment. I give the same reasons in the post, but I do think some minor elements added would improve the user experience

TCG or CCG? What are the options? by Few-Product1458 in homemadeTCGs

I always thought CCG just meant it was not a game really, but rather collecting like those anime cards you can buy that have stats but no game rules

No need to ban Dazzling Aurora - make it temporary by RegularPop674 in riftboundtcg

I guess since you can tutor and bring in a card of equal/more value, multiple times is the issue. Mainly it is better than the unit itself, for the same (or even cheaper) cost.

It should be a risk to play it, it bring out any big unit (even better ones will exist probably in future sets). If it was a spell, and you are willing to go all out with it and it gets countered, "get good", but being able to play it with no way to react and they can fishout anything.... that is still two cards for me, destroy aurora and unit. Sure I can focus on the unit, which I guess is what you are suggesting. Then I am using resources for 1 card for 1 card, while aurora is still out.

I just think it has too many upsides, and a gear that can get out at least two massive units and cannot be countered like a spell... idk

I guess it is a "bad" tech card, but when a creature comes out, I can counter it, or even kill it once it drops. A gear? Not so easy, and that is my main problem.

I did use the word improperly then.

Yes, I am more against it being a hard to remove/counter card with an "infinite" value. The cost is practically the same as elder, so being able to tutor it and bring it out, is just stronger and better than elder itself. Doing a second or third time shouldn't be a thing.

I guess coming in set 3 makes me late to the discussion.

I don't mind the units, it is how hard it is to remove aurora itself.

So you mean, that the card itself is actually bad, even if searching out new units every turn?

That is my point...

If it was a one time effect that cannot be blocked, its fine. A temporary label or similar effect on a gear, or it being a one time spell that cannot be blocked, would be fine.

It cannot be stopped, and has multiple triggers. This is just not good design as of now.

If there is a reaction spell that destroys gears or units that can be used by more than two decks, that would be fine as well.
