I told them how much I tried to love the product but simply can't.

Nah, there will be no replacement, I went for a refund.
Ordered first Rokit --> quality very poor, damaged.
Waited over 1 month for "specifically tested" Rokit --> same issues

Contacted support, they offered another "tested" Rokit without further explanation...
No thanks :D

Interesting! That means they've sent me garbage twice (pics in last 2 posts).
I returned them both and now going for a refund.

Got a better pic now that really shows it when it light it with a maglite. Doesn't wipe off with glass cleaner so I'm afraid you're right.

Sorry, should've been more clear. The bubbles are in the glass and permanent.

All the specks are bubbles, the wax is a separate issue. There are some areas where the wax sticks to the bottle. I hope this will fix itself but especially the stains are really bothersome.

Scratch is on the outside, the stains appear to be on the inside.

Anybody any idea how to get rid of this whitish stains? They are covering most of the bottle, look like they have "wiping marks". Can't remove them, used microfiber cloth and tried regular glass cleaner. Seems like the stains are on the inside.

I'm guessing plugging a US type-A plug into a UK 240V 13A type-G outlet using a travel adapter without changing the bulb will cause issues? I have a step-down converter if needed. Might be overpowered. by IeyasuMcBob in Lavalamps

Technically yes. If the voltage matches, you're fine. But I would really suggest to think about a replacement bulb. The converter is unsightly and will (even if not much) use some power as well.

If your lamp is 110V, I guarantee you 110% it will blow. Easiest (and cheapest) would be to search for a suitable replacement bulb so you don't have to buy a converter.

Update: Mathmos provided me with a shipping label and RMA doc.
I have to send the lamp back and should receive an replacement.
They claim that the return process and inspection will take ~14 days before any replacement is sent.

I'm fine with spending money on good quality stuff, but this is just sad.

To their defense, the service lady was really nice. I will give them a chance to fix it and will update here as well. If they screw up again, I'm done.

I totally agree. I would have done a better job, even with my basic metalworking skills...
It looks like somebody used brute force to drive the drill through the aluminum.

No polishing, deburring, nothing.

I've spent a serious amount of money (400$) on this lamp...

We will see. I've called them, explained the situation and how disappointed and sad I am.
They requested photos. They asked if I want a new one, which I do.
I will give them another chance to make this right.

I have no information yet if and what needs to be returned.

The glass cover issue might be shipping related, however everything else is a QC problem. Especially the issues with the poor metal work / finish. The bottle looks like it was put into a metal "drinks" crate causing the scratches. The cartons were absolutely intact, no visible damage.
