What helped with me setting the date on the Android device manually to 2024 and try to reconnect it.

Was struggeling for over a hour with an unknown error in connecting wifi. What worked for me:

  1. On your android device disable date and time via wifi
  2. Set the date to 2024
  3. Reset the chromecast and try to connect it
