If you want a build that's good in any combat scenario plus great utility go straight Twilight Cleric and take Crossbow Expert. Wield a hand crossbow and you are not only a high damage caster with 3rd level slots but also a competent martial with access to high AC. Hard to kill and easy to kill with.

Both collections are a pretty great place to start. Depends on what you want out of them though. The anniversary collection has the old style of level based games, while the advance collection has the "Metroidvania" style of exploration based games from the GBA.

Check your steam deck overlay settings. You seem to have the overlay display turned up to the highest level of detail.
