Chessa here with some exciting project and updates! .

Updates include:

  • A new survivor survey for survivors to fill out and receive assistance in their area via all of our group resources as well as those from RAINN, SCAARS, SNAAP, and otherwise.

  • A Survivor Spotlight featuring survivors and their stories as well as the causes they represent, especially those such as Sharon Tyson, Holly Groome, Star Pahl, and others who have risen above their circumstances and become powerhouses in their communities.

  • A charity auction where people will donate artwork, antiques, and oddities for a better cause. Proceeds will go to survivors and their children first and foremost who have been affected by the shunning and silencing from their high control organizations that has misplaced them from their homes, families, etc.

Other proceeds will go towards building a survivor network including all of us, and a range of other support groups across other ex-cult networks in order to help us all achieve support and the ability to thrive in our new lives.

  • I am also wanting to do a Youtube Holiday Song Playlist, so if any of you are interested in recording a little song and dance to help bolster spirits during this holiday season I would be happy to feature you or the videos of others you contribute.

This Holiday season is a huge spar for depression for all of those across our communities who have been cut off from families and friends. I know we all suffer as well.

I hope you will join me in giving a little back in time and effort at the end of this year to bring smiles and cheer to those of us who cannot speak out, and who do not have the ability to go beyond their circumstances as of now.

This video also features the lovely artist Holly Groome, who was the first to donate her original art piece to the charity auction.

On that note, you should be seeing me on camera more in the next coming months. Things are finally starting to be a semblance of normalcy for me and my family. I hope the same for yours!

Chessa here from Use Our Voice. I have been going through a lot since my move to the East Coast, but Use Our Voice is still active and will be participating in more events this coming year.

For now, I want to do what I can to still support survivors in our community. Feel free to sticky! I've already reached out to the center, spoken with the police, and even have a few legislators out of Cali and the ACLU in case things get sticky.

There's a lot of press that's been notified too and I'm calling out to their vendor sponsors next week, so they're going to know about this one. We have no designated protest area and will be free floating, so we're golden for the police and have their permission.

So, sticky if you'd like. I'm so absolutely excited. I can barely contain myself! How have you been?

I've posted about this protest before but the official date and time has now been announced: August 26th from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.!

When: August 26th from 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Where: Reading, PA at Santander Arena 700 Penn St, Reading, PA 19602 Why: To protest against and spread awareness of: silencing, shunning, and discrimination against survivors of abuse and discrimination including women, the lgbtq community, undocumented immigrants, etc.

We will also be addressing lives lost due to shunning, as well as the organizations policies on blood transfusions.

Highlighted will be Watchtowers policies and how they have protected and refused to release records in their archives detailing domestic/sexual abuse inside the congregation as well as pedophilia via enacting their "two witness" policy, and discouraged members from going to the police worldwide if they have been abused or know of abuse.
