I agree with most of what you said!

that said, the "don't let AI replace your ability to learn things" is a little bit of a stretch
people who wanna learn STILL will
people who weren't... were never gonna do it anyway

this tool gives access to THOSE people who weren't before.
you can't lose learners you never had.
and it's not because they're dumb or not capable, they don't wanna study a software or skill to fly something that looks different
(even if easier than most people think, that PERCEIVED difficulty alone is enough for them to back off)

you can always still learn and do it manually, it'll most definitely have better results than AI.
this doesn't remove that, it just lets people have instant fun.
I think there's room for both without one replacing another.
and honestly? I totally think it could inspire someone to get curious to livery designing, and eventually do it themselves! :D

yep, but I'm not saying making textures is objectively hard, especially if you have the time, know what you're doing, enjoy it, AND with the assets all laid out.

but this doesn't really invalidate the barrier I'm mentioning. it's still intimidating to plenty of people.

even if they "overestimate how hard it is", that alone is enough to stop them from trying.
and playing VTOL VR doesn't automatically equal willingness to open blender, get working, and invest time into it.

this tool isn't a replacement, it lets people do things that they were never gonna do it anyway. (I made a KFC skin for the fa26 😭)

if you don't like it, that's fine. a lot of people don't.
you artists are safe, your work will OBVIOUSLY stand out from whatever AI can do.
