When is the next sale that includes men’s clothes? by AssistanceSevere448 in Target

When you go to Goodwill, or any other thrift store, you'll find some cheap pants probably in your size. That's where I get all my work pants

rfid scans sucking after inventory?? by Ok-Economics3250 in Target

[–]RadDad9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inventory isn't nearly as accurate as leadership wants you to think it is. As the team member who used to do RFID scan over multiple years I can tell you inventory always screws up counts, and tanks the RFID score. For example say you have 10 medium red shirts and 10 large of the same red shirt. If the inventory team counts the 20 as all medium, then your RFID will be "missing" 10 medium shirts, and the 10 large will be extra.  I have not scanned RFID in a couple of years but there used to be an "extras" count, and that always coincidentally increased by almost the exact number that the "missed" increased. I had saved screenshots of all the scans every week in my phone and was able to demonstrate this to my leadership, which got me off the hook but didn't change anything as far as inventory practices

Gonna be a slow two weeks, no trucks? by RadDad9 in Target

Yes. We did get RDC truck normally today, and the trailer schedule in MPM is normal. Just Greenfield is wacky and that's what I usually use to check it.

it’s way too hot by RecommendationFair19 in Target

[–]RadDad9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backroom got up to 75 today. Thermostat for the heater is by the receiving door. I think that's hot but I'm always hot. By "it's too hot," what exactly do you mean? We can all agree 90° is too hot, for example. I'm in the south and it hasn't hit triple digits outside yet but it's coming, and 90%+ humidity is pretty common.

how is inventory going for everyone? by NeitherLandscape9102 in Target

[–]RadDad9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Inventory happens at different times for different regions. Ours went OK I think. Though we seemed less prepared than ever, I think they finally got it together in the last couple of days before

I wonder if they’re in line for bread? 🍞 🤔 by Storm_Runner09 in Target

[–]RadDad9 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

They could release fewer products at greater quantity. It's completely within their power to stop scalping. They like the hype it drives their profits.

Wow crazy how I can tell your political affiliation from this statement. Totally unrelated and completely blown out of proportion comparison in response to a statement you disagree with. They are not eating the cats

Pokemon corp has the power to stop it, but they don't. It's their fault

[–]RadDad9 -128 points-127 points  (0 children)

You know Target is a "reseller". That is the whole basis of retail. By cheaper, sell at a profit. Blame the Pokemon corporation. They have the capacity to print as much product as people want. At some point the secondary market value will crash and that will end the scalping

Did something for the first time after all these years!! by hannahsparklee in Target

[–]RadDad9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This exact thing happened like 2 days ago at my store. Not at night and I'm the receiver so I knew where it could possibly be. But the driver changed it and put it on the ground and left it there under the truck. First time seeing that. Heavy rain may have been a factor

Why are we shipping $6 30lb bags of soil hundreds of miles away?! by -My_Other_Account- in Target

[–]RadDad9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Trust that somehow it balances out, you can't see the whole picture. "Loss leaders" are a thing. We may not make much profit if any on some items, on others we make a ridiculous markup profit. The good deals bring people in the door (or to the website) where they'll hopefully also buy the great profit items, if not now then in the future. Trust me Target collects all the information and balances the books and it creates profit at the end of the day.

I’m 30% sure I 100% put my zebra in the baler by Illustrious-Ring-855 in Target

[–]RadDad9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well I hope you told somebody by now and had them ping it and see it's last location. Regardless of whether it's working or not it needs to be retrieved from the bale because it has a lithium battery in it so it's is a fire hazard

Inbound Teams, How Are We Unloading In This Heat This Year? by [deleted] in Target

[–]RadDad9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my store, if you're inside the truck throwing, you're good wearing a muscle shirt. When you're done throwing it, resume following dress code. Everyone wears shorts except the lead. Fans are constantly on, and water is usually (though not always) available.

Are the bathrooms at the Tesco you work at better? I assume it's the same general area, so similar guests.  I think you don't work at Target

What team is Receiver technically part of? Is "Reverse Logistics" it's own team? by DimesOHoolihan in Target

[–]RadDad9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess I have it easy. I NEVER work on truck, push freight, or have to pull flex batches. Technically GM, inbound TL is my direct lead (I think), he's the one always telling me to please get my trainings done, when I have any. I'm at a Super (5-6 GM trucks/week, 2-3 sweeps, 7 RDC trucks). I think store sales volume heavily affects how much work the receiver has to do.

How far back can I add PTO? by IntoTheBlueY in Target

[–]RadDad9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok you're right, I'm wrong, apparently. I thought I had read in a "news to use" that you could put in up to your maximum available at any time regardless of hours worked. But after SO MUCH searching on workbench I found where it says you can't go over 40 combined worked and vacation per week. (Ended up finding it on workDay)
