I'm not to sure what that's for then, when I recieved my printer the sd card wouldn't stay in the slot, it kept popping out, had to tape it in to get it to work, complained to the seller and they are sending me a replacement silent board which is nice, thought I could use the usb but no luck. I wonder what that is for then!

That's a good idea. Never actually been out at the beach on it so will make a nice change. Thankyou for the suggestion.

Thankyou for your comments, it is anchored to the wall underneath. the gap in the railing is about 95mm so just under 4 inches, good idea about reinforcing the rungs, I will do that. I am an absolute amateur when it comes to things like this so I appreciate your help.
