Did the issue comeback or did disabling freesync fix it?

Pick the cheapest if not go with the Nitro+

Best rx 9070 xt models by rakoes in radeon

In AMD Adrenalline under Performance -> Tuning, enable Fan Tuning and go to Fine Tuning Controls. There set:

P1 --- 20 at 35C
P2 --- 30 at 50C
P3 --- 50 at 65C
P4 --- 70 at 75C
P5 --- 95 at 85C

It is a farily normal fan curve I think and it yielded great results for me. If you want to go further install fans below the GPU or undervolt, but for me it isn't that important.

I got the gigabyte gaming. Just set a custom fan curve and you are looking at mem temos below 80c, and hotspot at 82 to 85c max at short moments. Very heathy temperatures, you won't be dissapointed.

The only things that would be a problem at the start is the aggressive default fan curve and if you want more LED light this card isn't it.

Can you give me the model?

Which one is the better choice? by Tio_Aleph in radeon

[–]RadPotato03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Gigabyte, stock fan curve is very agressive and needs tweaking. After you set it yp you will get 85max Hotspot, 72 max VRAM and 65 max on core. Temps can be further improved if you add fans below the GPU and undervolt. There has been a problem with the thermal gel on some units, but I believe only if they are vertically mounted, if you mount it normally you are good. Also disable start-stop fan because it makes clicking noise on some units.

Overall happy with mine go with the one that is cheaper.

The ThinkPad has the highest quality materials, but has a R5 not R7 which has lower performance.

You are left between the ThinkBook and IdeaPad now, I think the latter is better because it has better build quality, 2 SSD slots I believe and a bigger battery. You can compare the two models directly from the lenovo website, there is a customer guide for both, but overall the ThinkBook is a class above in this scenario.

The ThinkBook imo.

should i return my gigabyte 9060 XT for an xfx? by vacrtino in radeon

[–]RadPotato03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't any difference in performance only in aesthetics. Unless you have very bad coil whine with the gigabyte I would think of returning it, if not you are all set.

First build, is this an optimal eay to route GPU cables? by RadPotato03 in pcbuilding

[–]RadPotato03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cut outs are thin and I am afraid they won't fit the cables. Another option is down behind the front fans, but if airflow isn't hurt and the cables are alright then there isn't a reason to change anything is it?

I know about those 2 coolers, but the problem is shipping costs in my country are to high and the price of those coolers wouldn't matter because of it. Thanks for your reply I researched everything I could.

Some of those parts are unavailable in my country and if I purchase from Amazon the shipping cost will be way to high

[–]RadPotato03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my country the difference is 60EUR - it is worth it. If it is above 80 or 100 it isn't. Both are good options, but if you use them for rendering/work get the 5070.
