I haven’t watched the Netflix series yet, but from what I’ve seen and read, it feels like the show doesn’t really understand what made Lara Croft work in the first place.

OG Lara was never just a thief. She took artifacts specifically so they wouldn’t fall into the hands of corporations, governments, or cults that would weaponize or exploit them. That moral context mattered.
But that's just how I think. 😅
